Where are they now?

Where are they now?England lined up on the beach outside their hotel in Manly the day after their World Cup victory to celebrate winning the trophy in the shirts of their Guinness Premiership clubs.

Here's what has happened since to the heroes of November 22, 2003.

Will Greenwood - the centre retired at the end of the 2005/6 season and is now a media pundit with Sky Sports and the Daily Telegraph and will be working for ITV in France

Julian White - the Leicester Tigers prop was a fixture for England last term but pulled out of the 2007 Rugby World Cup squad to spend more time running the family farm

Ben Cohen - the powerful wing plays on for Northampton Saints but elected not to tour with England this summer and missed out on a place in the 2007 squad

Dan Luger - the former Harlequins wing is now building a successful property business in Eastern Europe after hanging up his boots in 2006

Stuart Abbott - still a fixture in midfield for Harlequins but last capped by England in the summer of 2006

Simon Shaw - didn't get off the bench in Australia in 2003 after replacing the injured Danny Grewcock but set to play a major role in France this time round

Trevor Woodman - retired from the game following a serious back injury. The former Gloucester and Sale Sharks prop now coaches Sydney University, whom he recently helped to a fourth successive Club Championship title.

Iain Balshaw - 33 caps to his credit and played on the wing in South Africa this summer but fitness and form have seen him miss out this time

Richard Hill - back playing this year for Saracens after brave recovery from two knee reconstructions but not in the England picture

Joe Worsley - named in the 2007 Rugby World Cup squad after appearing at open-side in the warm up games against Wales and France

Steve Thompson - retired on the advice of his doctors in 2007 after a neck injury and is set to join French outfit Brive as a coach next year

Martin Johnson - the World Cup final was his last England appearance and after retiring from club rugby in 2005 he has a host of media commitments and an ambassadorial role for sponsors VISA at this year's tournament, where he will also be commentating for host broadcasters ITV

Lewis Moody - the all-action Leicester Tigers flanker has been wonderfully consistent over the last few seasons and will again be pushing for a starting place in France

Ben Kay - endured a tough few years after Sydney but back to his best as England's line-out leader going into the tournament

Josh Lewsey - arguably England's best back during their slump after the last World Cup and will be on the wing in France this autumn

Martin Corry - won respect as England captain in 2005/06 and in France with a role to play in the second row as well as the back row

Phil Vickery - Cornwall's finest leads England's defence of their trophy having found form and fitness having moved to Wasps

Dorian West - the Leicester hooker has retired and is now coaching at Northampton Saints after a spell working for the RFU National Academy where he looks after England Saxons

Andy Gomarsall – the scrum half's career has been revived this year with a move to Harlequins after spells at Gloucester and Worcester

Kyran Bracken - retired, doing coaching and media work and the winner of ITV's Dancing On Ice

Paul Grayson - the fly half retired to take up a coaching role at Northampton Saints

Jonny Wilkinson - underwent three years of injury problems before returning for England in this year’s RBS 6 Nations and now at the peak of his powers once more

Mark Regan - back with Bristol and enjoying himself with England after impressing in South Africa this summer

Mike Catt – has just signed a new contract with London Irish that may see him move into coaching, but presently claims to be feeling fitter than ever and going to his fourth Rugby World Cup at the age of 36

Neil Back - retired and coaching at Leicester Tigers, who he helped win the Guinness Premiership title last season

Jason Robinson - hung up his boots with Sale - after a try-scoring finale at Edgeley Park - but playing on for England at the 2007 Rugby World Cup

Matt Dawson - retired and now a media pundit, Question of Sport captain and entrant in Strictly Come Dancing

Jason Leonard - became the world's most capped player for a while before bowing out in 2004. Now sits on the RFU Council, does media work and has interests in the building trade

Lawrence Dallaglio - retired from international rugby in 2004, then returned in 2006 and looking better than ever at 35 after claiming the Heineken Cup with Wasps last season.  A member of the 2007 RWC squad
