Job Description

The Rugby Football Union for Women Ltd (RFUW) is looking to appoint a full-time England Sevens Coach.

Reporting to the RFUW Head of Performance, they will coach and develop all England Women’s Sevens players to ensure the England Women’s Sevens team is both competitive and successful year on year.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall coaching and management of the England Women’s Sevens team and associated decisions. In conjunction with the Head of Performance, the coach will implement the England Women’s playing strategy and identify and recommend players for the Sevens and other representative teams.

Working with the other members of the RFUW team, they will plan & facilitate the operational management of the squad.

Candidates should have knowledge and experience of coaching Rugby Union at an international / premiership standard, with a minimum of a Level 3 Coaching Certificate. Proven experience of respect and credibility as a high performance coach is essential.

The successful candidate will also have technical and tactical knowledge of Sevens play. Excellent relationship building, communication, team player and organisational skills, as well as being a self starter able to work on own initiative, are required.

The personal circumstances must allow for the successful candidate to work extended hours, evenings & weekends, including time overseas.
