Recruitment & Selection Process
Our recruitment process is driven by our desire to find the right person for the job. It is designed to identify people who not only have the right mix of skills and experience but who also aspire to our values.
It is people that make the RFU what it is so we take great care in our team selection.
Interested in working at the RFU?
Great, then have a look at our current vacancies, where you'll be able to see what the RFU can offer you and search our latest opportunities to see if we have a role that suits your skills and experience.
If you like the sound of working here and feel that you meet the minimum requirements for joining the RFU team, you can then apply for a specific advertised vacancy or submit a speculative application.
Once you have submitted your application for a specific advertised vacancy, your application will be acknowledged in writing and will be assessed against the essential criteria of the job. If your skills and experience closely meet the job requirements, then you can expect to receive an invitation to interview and possible assessment within two weeks of the advertised closing date.
The assessment techniques we use are designed specifically for each individual job, with the aim of objectively and fairly measuring the candidates attributes against the core requirements of that particular job.
Competition for selection is usually pretty tough, so if you do not hear from us within two weeks of the advertised closing date, then you can assume that you have not made the team this time. We encourage you to continue to re visit the vacancies section of our website to see if there are any more suitable jobs in the future.
Speculative Applications
Speculative applicants will be notified if we currently have any suitable vacancies. If we do not have any suitable vacancies, then no further correspondence will be sent. We retain applicant details for a year so if a suitable vacancy should arise in the future, we may be in touch to confirm your interest in the role and provide further details of the vacancy.
If you are successful at interview/assessment then we will contact you to offer you a job with the RFU. If this is the case then you may want to find out more about the rewards and benefits of working with us.
If you are not successful at interview/assessment, we are always happy to provide constructive feedback and can also talk to you about other opportunities at the RFU which may be more suited to your skills and experience.
