Jon Curry New Head Coach for Bury.

CURRY”S LOOKING HOT FOR BURY
Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club have been able to secure the services of ex Rotherham and North Walsham Director of Rugby, Jon Curry for the new season. Jon is the current Forwards Coach for the Spanish National Team.
Mike Robinson, playing Chairman said “ Jon will bring a wealth of experience to Bury in his role as Head Coach. Whilst Jon’s main role will be with 1st XV squad he will be involved with player development throughout the Club”. Norwich based Company ULR (Uninsured Loss Recovery) have helped Bury Rugby Cub enlist the services of “JC” as he is known throughout Eastern Counties and it is hoped that JC’s expertise and enthusiasm will rub off on players and management alike.
Dwain Brown from National 2 side Blackheath, has joined the Club as a Player Coach for the coming season and will work alongside JC Coaching the back divisions at the Club.
Such appointment’s are a true statements of intent for Suffolk’s highest placed league Club as they look to improve on last seasons 6th place in London Div 2 North. Bury, who are the current County Cup 7s and XV’s holders, have placed a real emphasis on player and coach development, which is all part of the new 3 year plan that has been put in place at the Club.
Training starts for of the Club’s teams on Thursday 10th July at Bury Rugby Club’s Haberden ground. Jon would also like to personally invite new players to come along and join the Club where they will be made most welcome.
