The amount and quality of coaching delivered and the effect on rugby union within Lancashire will decide the level of scholarship. Coaching in the club environment will be recognised, as will coaching in the community (schools, colleges etc.). Particular emphasis will be placed on the coaching of county and sub-county squads.
Requirements to be submitted to the Lancashire Coaching Committee.
1) Application to the scheme will be made by the recognised Coaching Co-ordinator of a Lancashire affiliated Rugby Union club or school.
2) The club must be in date with all of its statutory obligations to the Constituent Body. (Accounts filed, insurance paid, all officers posted on the Rugby First website)
3) The nominee must be in membership of a Lancashire Rugby Union Club or employed by a school affiliated to Lancashire Schools.
4) All contacts, including this application, to be made by email.
5) The scholarship will only be paid after the completion of the course. The club Coaching Co-ordinator must confirm that the coach is delivering measurable benefit post qualifications. (See application below)
6) Exceptions to the above (e.g. schools, students) will be dealt with on an individual basis.
7) All applications are subject to the approval of the Lancashire Rugby Development Partnership.
