	The game started at a fast pace with Egremont taking the initiative and scoring two tries in quick succession. Cockermouth kept their heads up and continued to play well but were not rewarded. Just before half time the visitors scored their third try following a scrum. A better start to the second half saw Cockermouth make a good drive forward resulting in a try for Thomas Hill. Having upped their game Cockermouth continued to exert pressure for the rest of the half. In possession they ran well into space and in defence they tackled well leading to more possession. Eventually a try came from a Cockermouth scrum when scrum half Thomas Hill showed quick thinking to cross for his and his teams second.
