The game started with a quick try to Penrith, who proceeded to dominate the game. Although Cockermouth were able to sustain some good tackles a second try went to Penrith following a penalty and the home side scored their third following a throw in. Just before half time Cockermouth took a scrum, had an excellent drive on in attack but were unfortunately unable to score the try. Penrith finished the half with their fourth score just before the half time whistle.
After half time Penrith dominated with a further two tries although Cockermouth continued to make good tackles. Following a Penrith scrum Cockermouth’s Lauren Wishart broke away and took the ball all the way to try line. Another great Cockermouth drive nearly led to a second try. Penrith finished up their dominance of the match by taking their final try just before full time.
