First of all the Spitfire U15’s coaching and management team would like to thank everyone who attended the trials held at Swindon RFC on Sunday. From our point of view the day ran smoothly and we hope it felt the same for all the players who took part, as well as for the parents who chose to stay and watch. As with all trials it has resulted in a large number of the participants taking no further part in the selection process. For those who are not listed below we would like to thank you for your commitment and hope you will continue to play and enjoy your rugby. Should any of you feel you would like feedback on your performance, please get in touch with me, then myself or one of the coaching team will get back to you.
Following the trials, the players listed below have been selected for the Spitfires training squad who will then play matches against the other two districts.

In accordance with the rules for selection any injured player notified on or before the trial date will be invited to trial at that session. Therefore Cameron Panting and Oliver Phipps are also invited along to the training sessions. The rules state that any such player has to prove to be better than the player already nominated in that position to be successful.
All those selected for the Squad must be RFU registered, therefore if you are not already with a club or registered with the CB separately, we will ask you to complete a RFU registration form. This is to cover the RFU with basic insurance. The form can also be downloaded here. This must be done before the first training session. Forms should be sent to David Wookey, CB Youth Registrar, 3 Westland Close, Amesbury, SP4 7QS.

Details to follow regarding the second match as there is an issue with the venue which is still to be resolved.

U15’S SPITFIRES TEAM MANAGER
Trials for the U15s Spitfire Squad are to be held on the 12th October 2008 at Swindon RFC

Changing rooms are available but kit must not be left in them.
Registration will be from 12.30pm in the main hall.
Only players nominated by their Clubs or Schools are eligible.
Please be prompt as we intend to start the trials as soon after 1pm as possible.
If you are unable to attend for any reason please notify me as soon as possible.
You will need to bring:-
Medical consent form signed by parent/carer. (this can be downloaded from following link

Gum shield
ALL players must be RFU registered and either the players or their coaches must give their RFU registration number.
(For those players who have been nominated by their schools and are not RFU registered please contact me by e-mail and I will send you a registration form that your parents can complete. You must bring this to the trial registration accompanied by a photograph)
We intend to conclude the day at approx 4pm.
There will be further training sessions for the squad in preparation for the round robin games against SOLSTICE and SAXONS teams, the dates and venues will be posted on this web site when arranged.
