Wanstead RFC based in Woodford, are currently looking for a club coach or player coach.
We run three senior sides on a regular basis.
This season we are fortunate as last years colts squad (around 20 players) is now
available for senior rugby and are looking to learn from a “senior” coach.
We currently play in Essex 1 after a time in the London leagues.
Our 2nd and 3rd teams both play competitive rugby in the merit tables.
Our 1st team finished mid table last season after a difficult time which included our proposed coach deciding 2 days before the start he couldn’t commit to the season after all (leaving us coachless for the year) and the untimely death of one of our most popular players whilst serving with The Royal Marines in Afghanistan.
Our 2nd & 3rd teams came 3rd and 4th in their leagues respectively.
We would require our new coach to be available for both Tuesday and Thursday training
and of course on Saturdays and would pay accordingly.
We currently have around 25 players attending summer soccer/touch/rugby league sessions
and would expect this increase to nearer 40 once “pre season” starts proper early July.
