The County U20's take part int he RFU U20's County Championship Competition
Eligibility:
Full details of the eligibility criterea can be found in the RFU Handbook for the appropriate season:
Players must be under 20 and over 17 on the 1st January of the current season in which the championship is held
A player may qualify for Essex if the player satisfies any oth the following criterea:
Birth - Have been born within the boundaries of the Constituent body
Residence - Reside within Essex CB when first plays for County
Regular playing member of a club allocated to Essex CB
Attending full time school/HE/FE within Essex CB area
Must be eligible to play fo England U20
NB No player who has played for England U20 XV, England U20 A XV or England Students XV or England Universites XV and/or is a member of their match squads is eligible.
