ENGLAND COUNTIES IN CANADA
On June 2nd, the England Counties 26 player squad set off on their annual tour of the USA and Canada with three fixtures lined up.
Two fixtures versus the US Eagles 'A' side were comprehensively won 27-3 and 31-16, and the third game against a Canadian Select XV, despite the onset of a torrential thunderstorm, concluded a very successful tour with a 31-6 victory.
Lancashire was extremely well represented by five players: Petrus du Plessis (Sedgley Park), Jason Duffy (Waterloo), Seb Moss (Manchester), James Doherty (Wharfedale) and Oliver Brennand (Fylde) who opened the scoring in the very first game of the tour.
Of course, the team were led by former Lancashire, and current Manchester Head Coach, Dave Baldwin.
