Game 1
Altrincham U8s 15 Vale U8s 15
On a lovely February morning the Vale travelled to Altrincham full of
confidence from last weeks encounter.
The scene was set and the Young Guns came out firing and for the first time
this season they were stopped
in there tracks by a Good Altrincham sideThis was going to be a good test
for the Vale team and so it proved.
The Altrincham side drew first blood with a good try in the corner and this
was responed to by Ethan Robertson
with his first try of the day. The game went end to end with Strong direct
running from S Gray,SRich,M Clay and B Blackburn.
The half time whistle went with the game even and all to play for and the
Vale came out more determined to gain the
advantage and with runs from Nathan and S Fisher they went close.2 more
tries from E Robertson and 2 from Altrincham
left the game level at the final whistle and a fair result was had from two
very good sides.
Game 2
Altrincham U8s 20 Vale U8s 25
Again all change to the side with some really good Rugby being played from
both sides it again was going Nip and Tuck.
Vale scored tries from G Mason,J Atkinson, M Cole 2 and 1 from Samuel Smith
his first for the club in only his second game.
This again a great game to watch with some mean defence by the Vale with M
Duffy and Sam Heyhurst leading the way.
The Vale always stayed in front Joseph Collin and Joseph Atkinson both
going close to the line .
The whistle went and this again a good result 5 tries to 4.
Game 3
Altrincham U8s 15 Vale U8s 40
This was the last game of the morning and produced some more great Rugby
for all to see end to end again.
E Robertson (2) M Clay (2) S Rich (1) scoring from long range with some
great strong running from deep.
The defence this week was as good as ever stopping Altrincham time and time
again .
The Vale were up at half time and continued to press home the advantage
early in the second half
with tries from Steven Fisher, Nathan and Ben Blackburn running out worthy
winners 8 tries to 3.
