Pitch Side Immediate Trauma Care Course
While catastrophic injuries are not common in rugby, it is essential that when they do occur, the medical teams responsible are appropriately prepared and trained for such an incident. This requirement and the lack of courses which specifically address the needs of rugby union led to the development of the Rugby Football Union/Premier Rugby Pitch Side Immediate Trauma Care Course (PSITCC).
This two day course is a rugby union specific course that will address the immediate care training needs of both doctors and physiotherapists working within rugby.
The 2011/12 course dates and venues are as follows. To book a place on any of these course use the following PSITCC application form (MS Word DOC 33kB).
Further information, including details of exemptions and course retakes can be found in the PSITCC course summary (MS Word DOC 167kB).
