England Women will once again play in front of a packed crowd at the Surrey Sports Park when they face Kazakhstan today in the second round of pool matches, kick off is at 6.30pm and you can catch all the action live on Sky Sports 3.

There are no tickets available to purchase at the gate for today’s games and fans are advised to visit the venue today only if they have pre-bought tickets.

Tickets for the remaining pool games are still available to buy online or via Ticketmaster on 0844 844 2010, and we also have travel and parking information available for fans.

The interest in tickets demonstrates how far the women’s game has come over recent years and WRWC 2010 can boast fans from across the world.

Building on Ireland conquest

After England's impressive 27-0 victory over Ireland last Friday, Head Coach Gary Street has opted to rest a few of his star performers for the Kazakhstan test – including flanker Maggie Alphonsi and skipper Catherine Spencer – and Katy McLean takes over the captaincy.

McLean has been England’s vice captain for two seasons and last wore the armband when England defeated Scotland in the 6 Nations this year.

The Darlington Mowden Park Sharks fly half is one of 12 changes to the starting line-up, which also sees Saracens’ Charlotte Barras return having missed the entire 6 Nations through injury, while Wasps’ Michaela Staniford gets her first start after her late call up to the squad after Claire Allan’s injury withdrawal.

Only lock Becky Essex, McLean, flanker Heather Fisher, back Fiona Pocock and centre Rachael Burford will start their second successive world cup game of 2010.
