- The latest RFU podcast is now ready to download
- Mathew Tait talks exclusively about his return to the England centres
Mathew Tait has told the RFU.com podcast that his debut against Wales five years ago has helped him become the player he is.
Tait is ready to make the most of his 24th birthday chance to finally cement his place as England's No 13.
Five years on from a tough Test debut against Wales, Tait is wiser and more experienced going into the Twickenham Stadium Centenary Match against the same opposition in the RBS 6 Nations.
And he told this week's RFU Podcast: "That (debut) was five years ago and I have played a lot more club games and internationals. The whole experience of that day made me realise what international rugby is all about in terms of the pace, tempo and physicality and that has stood me in good stead."
