- Lock Shaw unlikely to be available for Scotland clash
- There are no changes to England EPS for training this weekend
England lock Simon Shaw (London Wasps) is unlikely to be available to face Scotland in the RBS 6 Nations on March 13 after sustaining a shoulder injury in the RBS 6 Nations defeat to Ireland last Saturday.
The results of an MRI scan that took place yesterday (Thursday) confirmed that Shaw has suffered no additional damage to his left shoulder and the injury he sustained against Ireland is confined to the acromioclavicular (AC) joint.
He is making good progress with treatment from the London Wasps medical team and will be reassessed by the England medical team this weekend.
Shaw's availability for the game against France on March 20 remains under review, but the England and London Wasps medical teams are yet to make a decision on the potential course of treatment and rehab, or the length of time that he might be unavailable for.
Delon Armitage, who also went off injured against Ireland, has made good progress this week recovering from a rib cartilage injury under the care of the England medical team. His progress will be reviewed again at the weekend.
