MasterCard, Match Sponsor of the Barbarians’ 2010 international matches, is launching a national competition for a rugby fan to become the 23rd Barbarians’ squad member, ahead of the upcoming MasterCard Trophy clash against England on May 30.
The lucky winner of the ‘Be Number 23’ promotion will join the Barbarians squad, consisting of some of the biggest names in world rugby, for the entire week before the game, staying in the team hotel and eating, training (non contact!) and travelling with the players. In addition to attending exclusive Barbarians events, including press conferences, gala dinners and post match celebrations, the winner will also sit with the Barbarians party during the match itself.

16 finalists will be chosen at random to enjoy a behind-the-scenes day at Twickenham with Will Greenwood, a MasterCard rugby Ambassador, where the final winner will be chosen. The competition opens on 17th March 2010 and closes on 19th April 2010.
