- England players to meet and greet with fans on Monday, November 22
- Event move from November 15 due to England schedule change
Fans will have a chance to meet their heroes on Monday, November 22 when members of the England Senior Elite Player Squad will be in the Rugby Store at Twickenham Stadium to meet and greet fans.
The event, which had originally been planned for November 15, but was pushed back due to a scheduling change within the England camp, will feature England captain Lewis Moody (Bath Rugby), Toby Flood, Ben Youngs (Leicester Tigers), Chris Ashton, Dylan Hartley (Northampton Saints) and Rugby World Cup winner Steve Thompson (Leeds Carnegie).
The players are due to attend between 7pm and 8pm and will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans. Timings and attendees are subject to change.
Pleasure to meet the fans – Flood
England fly half Toby Flood is looking forward to the appearance, saying: “It’s always a pleasure to meet our fans.
"We have some of the best supporters in the world and it’s great to give something back.
“The crowd were unbelievable throughout the New Zealand game. The hairs went up on the back of my neck when they were singing Swing Low during the haka. I loved it, in fact I almost joined in at one point!
“It will be nice to thank those fans for creating such an electric atmosphere during the Investec Internationals, and if signing a few autographs can return the favour then of course we’re all willing to do that.”
Free parking is available in the stadium’s Main Car Park, entrance at the Tesco end of Rugby Road. The 281 bus is a regular service and stops outside the Rugby Store.
Disabled parking and cycle parking are available in the Short Stay Car Park on Whitton Road.
