He began that tournament with a try in the 49-17 win over Russia in Glendale, Colorado.

Switching from Gloucester to Leicester Tigers in the summer of 2009, has revitalised the top level career of Southampton-born Anthony Allen, who won two Test caps at the age of 20. Five years on, he is enjoying life in the Tigers’ lair with appearances for England Saxons in all three Churchill Cup matches in June soon after he helped his new club to win the 2010 Guinness Premiership title.
