Profile

A two-year England Sevens contract in the summer of 2011 rewarded Christian Lewis-Pratt after a sequence of impressive performances on the FIRA/AER European GP Sevens series.

The Richmond-born playmaker scored 191 points in the four tournaments in Lyon, Moscow, Barcelona and Bucharest, and he is one of 12 full-timers recruited by head coach Ben Ryan.

Christian, who lives in Ascot, was a schoolboy Sevens star at Wellington College before turning professional with Northampton Saints and spending the 2010-11 season with Leeds Carnegie, where he appeared in 11 first team games, scoring 16 points on his Aviva Premiership debut at Gloucester, and under dual registration for Doncaster Knights in the RFU Championship.

He represented Wales U16 and U18, playing alongside senior internationals such as Scott Williams and Kristian Phillips. At England Sevens level this season he has played in Dubai, Port Elizabeth, Wellington, Las Vegas, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Christian has scored five tries, his maiden one being in 43-0 win over Zimbabwe in the opening pool match in Dubai.

He also ran in two against Samoa when England achieved a 21-12 victory in the third place play off. His goal-kicking skills have brought 16 conversions, including three against Kenya in Hong Kong, so far in his overall points’ tally of 57 points.
