England Women Under 20

The England Women’s Under 20 squad contains the senior England players of the future and they will compete in three internationals this season against France and Wales.

The England young guns are coached this season by Saracens and former England Women A Coach Amanda Bennett with ex-Northampton, Bedford and London Welsh lock Steve Halsey as Assistant Coach.

Ellie Gattlin

Ellie got into rugby through tag rugby at school at a young age. She has since played for the RFUW Talent Development Group and in 2011 made her England debut against France. A knee injury, however, ruled her out of the rest of the international season so she’ll be looking to make up for missed time this term.

Charlotte Notman

In her second season for the England Under 20s, Charlotte comes from a sporting family. Not only has Charlotte earned international honours, her sister is also part of the Scotland international set-up and was a BBO Ballet scholar while her grandfather was a bantam weight boxing champion. Charlotte has also excelled in athletics, representing her county in both the 100 metres and the shot put.

Rachel Roberts

An AASE student at Hartpury College Rachel is also studying A Levels in Chemistry, Physics and Biology. She took up the game aged 12 at Morpeth RFC and has not looked back since. Her most admired player is England’s Maggie Alphonsi and Jonny Wilkinson.
