Fitness is a way of life for Georgina Rozario, a gym manager for the Working Health Company and academy coach at Truro College. Educated at St John’s Primary and St Gregory’s Secondary School, she moved on to the Oldfield Rugby Academy Sixth Form and attained a BA (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science and Coaching at University College Plymouth St Mark and St John’s, known as Marjons.
She began playing when 13 at Avon RFC near Bath, where she was born, and has benefited from skills coaches Susie Appleby and Ricky Pellow.
Her international debut was against the USA in December 2007 before making her first start in the 29-13 victory over Ireland. Now with Lichfield, she previously appeared for Plymouth Albion and has won the European Championships and Six Nations with England. Georgina played off the bench for Natasha Hunt in the opening RBS match against Scotland that brought a resounding victory.
Georgina’s most memorable match was the victory over New Zealand at Twickenham in 2009 and her favourite players, as befits a scrum half, are Ben Youngs and Ben Foden. Surfing and horse riding are her hobbies and Twickenham and the Recreation Ground, Bath vie for the honour of being her top venue.
