The 2009/10 season marked the 100th anniversary of the world’s most iconic rugby stadium. This exhibition charted the fascinating story of Twickenham Stadium since Welshman Walter Gronow kicked-off its first international game all those years ago.

Exhibition themes include:

  • The first games played in front of just 18,000 spectators
  • The great England teams of WJA Davies and William Wavell Wakefield.
  • The romantic tale of a true Twickenham legend, Prince Alexander Obolensky
  • The last great amateur side of the 1990s featuring Will Carling, Rory Underwood and Rob Andrew
  • Clive Woodward’s all-conquering England side led by Martin Johnson and featuring Jonny Wilkinson and Jason Robinson
