The North U18 Delivery Team is seeking to appoint an Assistant Coach from September 2014 to deliver coaching and assist in the planning of the coaching programme for the season. The coach will be responsible for providing a positive and successful playing environment at divisional level and opportunities for players to progress from club, school and CBs to North U18 level and beyond. This early appointment will provide the new post-holder with the opportunity to shadow the current North backs coach.
The responsibilities will include supporting the assessment & selection process, the playing & match preparation for the divisional squad, attending coaches meetings, the end-of-season review meeting and completing player feedback & profiling forms.
Applicants should demonstrate experience of coaching at county or divisional representative level; commitment to and engagement with the RFU’s Coaching Development Qualification structure and have an affinity with the community game.
The Coach should hold a minimum of the RFU Level 3 coaching qualification or its equivalent and be an RFU Accredited Selector before taking up the role.
Applications in writing together with a rugby CV should be sent to Lindsay Piper, Game Development, Rugby House, Twickenham Stadium, 200 Whitton Road, Twickenham, TW2 7BA or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Closing date for applications is Friday, January 10, 2014. Interviews will be held within two weeks of this date.
The appointment procedure is early so as to give the successful candidate the opportunity to shadow the current coach at both development days on January 26 and February 9, 2014.
