England Rugby 2015 Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rugby Football Union, set up as the organising body to deliver the Rugby World Cup 2015 in England. The Rugby World Cup is the third biggest global sporting event and is rugby’s showcase tournament, held once every four years. From September 18 to October 31, 2015, 20 nations will compete over 48 games. The global TV audience is expected to be in excess of 4.2bn viewers and over 400,000 overseas visitors are expected to travel to England for the tournament.
Commercial Lawyer – 5+ PQE
Junior Commercial Lawyer – 1+ PQE
We are seeking one senior and one junior commercial lawyer to take on a broad range of commercial work to support England Rugby 2015 Limited in delivering the Rugby World Cup. These varied roles will include drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements and dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the IRB, sponsors and stadium owners.
You will have a strong academic record and ideally will have trained at a leading City or national firm. It is essential that you can demonstrate experience in a commercial department. A secondment or other in-house experience would be desirable.
We are looking for confident, outgoing and commercially focused individuals. You will need to have a proactive attitude combined with enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal and influencing skills in order to successfully communicate within and outside the organisation.
