Saracens Ruck Stars Coaches (casual)

2011-12 Aviva Premiership champions and Community Club of the Year 2012, Saracens, are looking to recruit a number of casual coaches to deliver sessions on a new and exciting programme. Ruck Stars focuses on developing the fundamental motor skills of 3-5 year olds through a variety of fun and inclusive rugby related activities.

Prerequisites:

  • Proven track record and experience in coaching children aged 3-5.
  • Confident, enthusiastic and imaginative

Successful candidates will be required to utilise their coaching skills and experience to deliver sessions under a structured curriculum. The focus for each successful candidate will be to deliver the Ruck Stars programme in a number of independent venues within Hertfordshire and the Barnet borough area starting from January 2013.

It is essential that you are knowledgeable and confident in delivering high energy sessions to the focused age group and have the ability to be versatile with all session content. The role typically involves mornings and weekend delivery.

Skills & experience required:

  • Suitable sports coaching qualifications (preferably rugby but not essential – other sporting qualifications also desirable)
  • Experience in coaching and working with young children
  • Excellent communication skills with children and parents
  • Excellent, planning and organisational skills
  • Fully enhanced CRB check (or DBS check) through the RFU (can be obtained if appointed)
