Ealing Rugby Club - Mens Section Coach

Salary:

Start Date

Job Description

Following a pleasing season that saw the Ealing Rugby Club Men's section regularly fielding three strong squads plus a veterans’ side and in which the 1st XV were runners up in the Zoo Sports League Division 3, the club now wishes to strengthen the support structure by engaging a 2nd XV coach who will lead the development of this critical part of the playing squad.

The coach will work closely with the Head Coach at midweek training and on certain match days and must be comfortable with utilising a “game-sense” coaching methodology. They must also be sufficiently confident/competent to independently prepare and lead sessions/sub-sessions.

Commitment to attend midweek training sessions at Vallis Way is a prerequisite as is coaching of the team on match days. The selected candidate will also need to set aside some time for “off grass” planning and reporting activities.

In return for this commitment, the Senior section will provide assistance with RFU coaching costs (for example CPD sessions), coaching kit and other rewards depending on experience.

Our Head Coach, Nick Lambert, is RFU L3 qualified and is an RFU Accredited Coach Developer. As such he is keen to assist with the appointee’s personal development and will be available to act as a “mentor”, whether this is in pursuit of formal RFU qualifications or simply to improve their session planning and delivery.

Please respond to Nick Lambert, amateursheadcoach@ealingrugby.co.uk, attaching your coaching CV together with a bullet point summary (no more than 100 words) of what you have done to improve player and team performance in a recent coaching role.
