Welcome
Welcome to to the web site of Boadiceas RFCW. The Boadiceas played their first game in January 2005, and has grown since then to run three sides; an adult team, an U17s team for girls in school years 10, 11 and 12, and an U14s team for girls in years 7, 8 and 9.
The Boadiceas is unique in that it is an independent rugby club for women & girls and not just a womens' section of a mens' club. The Boadiceas work closely with Clacton, Colchester, Harwich & Dovercourt and Mersea Island Rugby Clubs, and use their facilities to train and play fixtures.

LATEST NEWS

Training is finished for the season as the 10s tournament at Colchester has been cancelled due to lack of support from other clubs.
Unfortunately it has become too expensive to continue to run the club in its present form and the disappointing response to the Grand Draw tickets that were sent out (none were returned!) means that there is no other incvome except memberships and match fees.
So the future for the Boadiceas is uncertain as most of the players who made up the adult team are going to University next season and the U17 side only has two or three players remaining. Although there are a number of U14 players we are finding it difficult to get fixtures for them.
Adults should consider training with Ipswich/Woodbridge or Writtle Wanderers next season and youth players should keep an eye on http://www.easterncounties.girlsrugby.org.uk/ to see when County training sessions are taking place. Harwich or Clacton may consider taking on the U14 side as most of the players come from those towns.
If there are people out there who want to have a go at continuing the Boadiceas please contact Andrew who will give you all the help he can.
