Fylde Rugby Club is one of the leading clubs in the North West of England, based in Lytham St Annes on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire. The Club's 1st team plays in English rugby's National Leagues. The club's home venue is the Woodlands Memorial Ground. The Club has a long and famous history and is aspiring to become the top rugby club in the North West. It is a 'proper' rugby club, in that there's a place for players of all levels of ability and age. It is managed as an integrated entity, with semi-professional national rugby flourishing alongside social, community and youth rugby. It is situated in the heart of its local community and serves that community in many, many ways.
The club has four other senior teams, the Wanderers, Saracens, Vikings and Vandals who play respectively in the Miller Homes Premiership, Division 2, Division 3 (North) & Division 4 (North) There are also Under-19 and Under-17 teams who play in the Lancashire & Cheshire Colts Leagues and a fledgling Women's team. There is a flourishing Mini-Junior Section with teams from Under 7s to Under 16s. In all, the Club is fielding 18 regular teams. The newly established Fylde Academy will produce the next generation of elite players. The very successful Community Rugby Development Programme which employs two full-time development officers and a range of other coaches works with schools, youth and adult groups throughout the area. Leisure rugby initiatives includes the very popular Annual Beach Rugby Festival run in July each year.
The Woodlands Memorial Ground is also the current home ground of Blackpool Panthers rugby league club.
