Spectators and players at the match between England and New Zealand this weekend are going to be confronted by a 25 foot bronze statue of Josh Lewsey wearing the new Nike Pro Performance top. The statue was unveiled prior to the Australia match last weekend and will hopefully bring us luck again against New Zealand before being dismantled after the game.
The statue will tower over spectators as they enter and leave the stadium. Designed to look like aged bronze the statue shows Josh wearing the Nike Pro top which many of the players will be wearing on the day under their match day shirts. As England’s secret weapon, the top will improve the team’s chances of emerging from the day victorious.
Nike Pro Performance is a range of compression-fit, first layer tops, designed for the performance needs of sport. Worn under the athlete’s kit it is an essential element of the modern sportsman’s equipment – in effect, an athlete’s secret weapon.
