The Pirates maintained their excellent home record with another home win but they had to come back from a 13-0 deficit after 21 minutes. The Bees were ahead after a try from right wing Tom Beim and Ben Harvey converted the score and kicked a penalty either side of it.
Just after the half hour mark the home side made it onto the scoreboard with wing Richard Welding going in for his 15th try of the season in what was the final score of the first half.
Eight minutes into the second half Tom Barlow slotted over a penalty goal and he followed that with a drop goal on 64 minutes and they finally went ahead in the 68th minute with his second penalty goal.
They wrapped up the win in the 75th minute, and stopped the Bees picking up a losing bonus point, when second row Heino Senekal went in for a try and Barlow added the extras.

Emphatic win for the Earth Titans who had the match won in the first half as they went in 31-0 ahead at the break as they close to within a point of Plymouth Albion in the table.
They scored three times in the opening 20 minutes with No 8 Scott Donald bagging a brace to move onto 12 for the season, the other came from fly half Michael Whitehead who also converted all three of them to lead 21-0
Second row Jan Bornman got the fourth on 26 minutes to secure the bonus point and the final try of the half came form recent debutante Gillian Carruthers. In the second half the home side scored three tries to pull it back to 31-17 before Carruthers rounded off the win with his second try on the 76th minute. |
