AK stayed in the hunt for a top two spot with this win over a much improved Caldy side.
Marcus Coast kicked the visitors ahead with a 3rd minute penalty goal but two penalties from AK fly half Richard Wainwright saw the home side 6-3 ahead after 13 minutes. Just after the half hour mark Caldy were ahead again with flanker Gareth Bansor going over and Coast converted for 10-6.
Two minutes into the second half and AK were in front with a try from right wing Rob Worsfold and Wainwright converted. Caldy though came back at the home side and regained the lead when winger Devaney going over to make it 15-13.
Wainwright put the home side back in front with a 61st minute penalty goal but it was not till the 75th minute that they sealed the win when flanker Arthur Mate touched down and Wainwright converted.
Huddersfield 48 (Tries: Shaw, Summers, Clayton, Stringwell, Baxter, Sowerby 2, Penalty try. Cons: Grayshon 4.).
Whitchurch 3 (Pen: Hare.).
Huddersfield got the win at home to Whitchurch after a powerful second performance after trailing at the break 3-0. The only score of the first half was a penalty goal to the visitors from Chris Hares.
In the second half the home side ran in eight unanswered tries including a double for No 8 Mark Sowerby.
Morley 27 (Tries: S Bradshaw 2, Rika, Field, Wade. Con: Stephens.).
Middlesbrough 6 (Pens: Moore 2.).
Morley maintained their four point lead at the top of the Powergen North One league table with this home win over Middlesbrough.
The home side were ahead in the first minute with No 8 Ben Wade going over for an unconverted try. Left wing Simon Bradshaw was over for the second home try on 20 minutes as they went 10-0 ahead.
Simon Moore pulled three points back for the visitors just before the half hour mark but by half time Morley had a third try as Bradshaw completed a double.
Moore kicked a second penalty goal early in the second half but Morley ran out comfortable winners with two tries in the final quarter.
West Park St Helens 18 (Tries: Briers 2. Con: Soutar. Pens: Soutar 2.).
Hull 13 (Tries: D Smith 2. Pen: Tangohau.).
West Park retain second place after this home win over Hull which did not come till late in the game.
Park were ahead in the 5th minute with Andy Soutar putting over a penalty goal for a 3-0 lead. It was 8-0 in the 10th minute when their prolific centre Stephen Briers went over for an unconverted try.
With half time approaching the visitors got on the scoreboard with a try from winger Danny Smith.
It was Smith who gave Hull the lead 15 minutes into the second half. Park regained it on the hour mark with a Soutar penalty goal but with Waylon Tangohau dropping a goal two minutes later Hull were back ahead.
The home side did not secure the win till the 74th minute when Briers went over for his second try of the match and with Soutar converting they were 18-13 winners.
