London Scottish 116 (Tries: Box 2, Heke, Alesbrook 3, Boulard 2, Macdonald 2, Peel 2, Williams 3, Bruce, Watt, Perkins 2, Janke. Cons: Williams 8.).

Tabard 0 ().

Report courtesy of Tabard.

Tabards season of misery continued on Saturday with another heavy defeat, this time at the hands of London Scottish, by 116 points to nil.

Tabard always knew that relegation from the National Leagues would be difficult to come to terms with but the reality has been far harder than anyone could have foreseen.   Players leaving must be a part of the modern image of rugby but injury problems all through the year has devastated Tabard and on Saturday they had to  field a side that had drawn  on the depths of the clubs resources.

Having said this, the side did not give up on Saturday.   Even though London Scottish scored straight from the kick off, aided by two huge forward passes that the referee missed, Tabard still scrummaged well to start with and the powerful Scottish pack did not have things all their own way.   Tabard also had some gutsy performances to write home about, number 8, Scott Stoba appearing everywhere and, in the threequarters stand off Adam Lawlor controlled the game as much as he could and Hayden Buccholz in the centre kept on until the end.

Scottish were much too strong and the half time score was 63 – 0 and, for reasons known only to the referee he played 6 minutes of injury time, Scottish scoring in the dying seconds, thus adding to Tabards hard day.
