Terrace Talk - National Three South

Bracknell v Cambridge

Championship chasing Cambridge travel to bottom of the table Bracknell looking for all five points on offer as they try and claw back the one point they trail leaders North Walsham by a single point.

Bracknell after beating Reading have slipped to five successive defeats and are 19 points adrift at the bottom of the table.

They have managed a couple of wins at home but have lost nine out of 11.

Cambridge on paper have the easier run in with this match and then Reading away whilst North Walsham play Rosslyn Park at home this week and then have to travel to 5th placed Southend on the final day of the season.

Cambridge were comfortable winners when the sides met early in the season 57-15.

PREDICTION: Cambridge by 20 points.

Dings Crusaders v Bridgwater & Albion

Ninth placed Dings Crusaders entertain seventh placed Bridgwater & Albion knowing a win could see them climb a place in the league table.

Dings have slipped a little with two defeats in their last three matches although at Lockleaze they still have an impressive record this season.

They have won nine and drawn one of their 12 matches.

Bridgwater & Albion returned to winning ways last week after a three match losing run with a 75-14 win over bottom of the table Bracknell.

On the road this season they have a reasonable record with five wins in 12 away matches

Bridgwater & Albion were winners when the sides met earlier in the season 27-14.

PREDICTION: Away win by five points.

Havant v Westcombe Park

Eighth placed Havant face a tough home match against fourth placed Westcombe Park.

Havant have slipped to back to back defeats after back to back wins with defeats at Cinderford and at home to Southend.

At home this season they have picked up eight wins in 12 home matches to date this season.

Westcombe Park are one of the form sides in the table and are looking for a sixth consecutive win at Hooks Lane.

On the road they have picked up six wins in 12 matches so far this season

This match was a high scoring thriller last time with Combe coming through 40-38.

PREDICTION:  Away win for Combe by eight points as they continue their good run.

Hertford v Cinderford

11th placed Hertford take on 10th placed Cinderford who moved above them in the league table last weekend.

Hertford are looking to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat in this home fixture. At Highfields they have a reasonable record with six wins and six defeats from their 12 matches to date.

Cinderford after a bad run have won two of their last three matches to climb the league table.

On the road this season they have managed five wins in 12 matches this season.

Hertford are looking to do the double over Cinderford having already won the away match 21-17.

PREDICTION: Tough call but will go home advantage.

Lydney v Southend

Third placed Lydney take on fifth placed Southend at Regentsholme looking to hold of Westcombe Park who they are ahead of by virtue of winning more matches.

Lydney are looking for a fourth consecutive win after suffering back to back defeats against the top two in the table.

At home this season they have an excellent record with ten wins from their 12 matches to date and would want to finish their home campaign with a win.

Southend are on of the form sides in the division with six consecutive wins in the Form Guide along with leaders North Walsham and are now just five points behind Westcombe Park and Lydney in the table.

On the road they have six wins and a draw from their 12 matches.

When these two sides met before earlier in the season it ended in an 8 all draw.

PREDICTION: Lydney to win at Regentsholme by eight points.

North Walsham v Rosslyn Park

Leaders North Walsham face what could be a tricky match when they entertain sixth placed Rosslyn Park knowing they need to probably pick up all five points on offer.

North Walsham know they must get all five points on offer and get the four tries as they look to make it 13 out of 13 at Scottow this season.

Park are not in the best of form and have lost three of their last four matches in he league to drop down to sixth place in the table.

On the road they have managed to win five of their 12 matches to date this season.

When the sides met at Roehampton earlier in the season Rosslyn Park ran out winners 27-25 in a closely fought match.

PREDICTION: North Walsham to win by 12 points.

Old Patesians v Reading

Could be winner takes all in this one as second bottom Old Patesians take on third bottom Reading who they trail by two points in the table.

Old Patesians are looking to avoid a fifth straight defeat in a match which could save their season if they can pull off the win. If they fail to win Reading will be all but safe and Old Patesians would be relegated to South West One.

Reading are also at the wrong end of the Form Guide with just one win in their last six matches but they know a win here would guarantee them National Three status for another season.

When the sides met at Holme Park earlier in the season it was Reading who ran out comfortable winners 32-3.

PREDICTION: Old Patesians to sneak it by five points. .
