In at the Corner - National Two

Manchester 30 (Tries: Richmond 2, Collins, Wood, Dalton. Con: Wilson. Pen: Bramhall.). 

Orrell 15 (Tries: Hall, Reay. Con: Spragg. Pen: Glynn.). 

Orrell are relegated after the days events with them losing at Manchester.

They did take the lead when Chris Glynn put over a 7th minute penalty goal. .

James Bramhall levelled for Manchester three minutes later and they took the lead in the 15th minute when right wing Isaac Richmond went over. Orrell were level on 23 minutes when flanker Dan Hall touched down.

Manchester were back in front five minutes later when flanker Danny Collins touched down in the final score of the half as Manchester took a 13-8 lead into the half time interval.

Left wing Dave Wood got the opening score of the second half eight minutes in before Richmond got a second try and centre Craig Cooper went over and Manchester led 30-8 with Wilson converting the Cooper try.

Orrell got the final score with centre Sam Reay touching down and Warren Spragg converting.

  

Stourbridge 15 (Tries: Bressington, Havea, Tideswell.). 

Henley Hawks 8 (Try: Loubers. Pen: Burton.). 

Stourbridge move above Henley Hawks in the table after this home win.

It took Stourbridge 22 minutes to get the opening score of the match with right wing Alistair Bressington touching down for an unconverted try and a 5-0 lead.

Four minutes later they double their lead with scrum half Soane Havea going over. Henley were off the mark just after the half hour mark when Mitch Burton slotted over a penalty goal but in first half injury time the home side went over for a third try as prop James Tideswell touched down.

In the second half there was just the one score with the Hawks finally getting over the home line when right wing Chaska Loubers went over for a try. 

 

Launceston 29 (Tries: Alred, Chapman, Diddle, Sweeney. Cons: Alred 3. DG: Alred.). 

Halifax 23 (Tries: Solomi 2, Afoa Peterson. Con: Eaton. Pens: Eaton 2.). 

Launceston maintain fourth spot in the table with this home win over an improved Halifax side.

It was the visitors though who went in front when flanker Daniel Solomi went over for a try and a 5-0 lead in the 14th minute.

Stuart Alred got the home side on the scoreboard with a 19th minute drop goal and four minutes later went over for a try which he converted to make it 10-5.

Two further tries before the break saw the home side go in 22-5 ahead as right wing Marc Dibble and flanker Barry Chapman touched down and Alred added a conversion.

After the break Halifax got back in it when No 8 Robert Afoa Peterson went over for a try and Andy Eaton kicking for the injured Shaun Thomas added a penalty goal.

But before the hour mark the home side went 29-13 ahead with a fourth try as replacement back Marc Sweeney touched down and Alred converted.

Halifax got back into it when Solomi got a second try and Eaton converted on the hour mark and when Eaton added a 74th minute penalty they were just six points adrift and took home a bonus point.   

 

Blackheath 29 (Tries: Piotrowski, Neale, Sandenburgh 2. Cons: Neale 3. Pen: Neale.). 

Redruth 25 (Tries: Penalty try, Heard, Bonds. Cons: Donald 2. Pens: Donald 2.). 

Blackheath are up to 10th place in the table after this home win over Redruth who drop to eighth place in the table.

Frankie Neale gave the home side an early lead with a penalty goal which was cancelled out by Gavin Donald for the visitors in the 11th minute.

The home side were back in front on the half hour mark when right wing Roman Piotrowski went over for the games opening try and Neale converted to make it 10-3.

With half time approaching Neale went over for a try and the home side went in 15-3 ahead.

In the opening minute of the second half the visitors were awarded a penalty try to get back in the game at 15-10.

The Blackheath wing Burger Sandenburgh than got a double with tries in the 51st and 71st minutes to go into a 29-13 lead with Neale converting them both.

Redruth did manage two late tries with prop Sam Heard and centre Craig Bonds touching down to grab a late bonus point. 

 

Wharfedale 17(Tries: Malherbe, Hutchinson. Cons: Bedworth 2. Pen: Bedworth.). 

Esher 13 (Try: Butterworth. Con: Hallett. Pens: Hallett 2.). 

Wharfedale were home winners over Esher whose bad run continued with this defeat at Threshfields.

Neil Hallett put the visitors ahead with a 4th minute penalty goal but in the 16th minute the home side were in front when centre Chris Malherbe touched down and Mark Bedworth converted.

Esher were back in front in the 35th minute when second row Mark Butterworth went over and Hallett converted. 

But before the break the home side were back in front when wing James Hutchinson went over for a try and again Bedworth converted to send the home side in 14-10 ahead. 

Bedworth made it 17-10 with a 65th minute penalty goal before Hallett replied for the visitors four minutes later in what turned out to be the final score of the match as the home side took the win.

 

Waterloo 35 (Tries: Nutt 2, Blyth, Kerfoot, Smith. Cons: Nutt 2. Pens: Nutt 2.). 

Harrogate 0 (). 

Waterloo picked up all five points with this home success over Harrogate with Stephen Nutt leading the way with all 20 points in the first half.

Nutt went over for a 9th minute try and added the conversion and then put over penalty goals on 20 and 23 minutes before going in for a second try in the 39th minute and added the conversion to make it 20-0.

In the second half the home side scored three more tries with No 8 David Blyth getting the first after 45 minutes before they secured the four try bonus point with wing Neil Kerfoot touching down on the hour mark before the rounded of the win with flanker Dan Smith touching down late on. .

 

Barking 29(Tries: Pilat, Ah Ling 2, Mahoney. Cons: Pilat 3. Pen: Pilat.). 

Moseley 34 (Tries: Bressington, Taylor, Colvin, Caves 2, O’Leary. Cons: McDonald 2.). 

Barking were first on the scoreboard when full back Corrado Pilat went over for a 10th minute try. The lead lasted just three minute with right wing Nathan Bressington going over for the visitors who went ahead in the 21st minute when scrum half Gareth Taylor touched down and with Greg McDonald converting they were 12-5 ahead.

Two minutes later left wing Carl Colvin touched down and just after the half hour mark the bonus point was in the bag with a try from hooker Adam Caves and Moseley went in 22-5 ahead.

In the third quarter the home side got back in it with wing Felise Ah Ling going over and Pilat converting and adding a penalty goal to make it 22-15.

Two tries after the hour mark from Caves, completing a double, and centre Daren O’Leary saw the visitors go 34-14 ahead.

Late tries got the home side a couple of bonus points with Ah Ling completing a double and centre Peter Mahoney touching down.
