Barking v Harrogate  

 

Bottom of the table clash as second bottom Barking entertain bottom club Harrogate.  

 

Barking have managed just two wins all season and they have both come on the road. At home this season they have lost all seven matches picking up just the one losing bonus point.

 

Harrogate have still managed just the one win all season and have lost eight straight at home this season. That was a narrow 19-17 win over Cambridge on the opening day of the season. They have still to pick up a try scoring bonus point and have managed just one losing bonus point which was at home against Bradford & Bingley.

On the road they have lost all seven matches conceding at least 36 points in each one whilst only twice getting in double figures.  

 

When the sides met at Claro Road earlier in the season Barking were 22-5 winners.

 

Prediction: Barking to win by 10 points at home to bottom of the table Harrogate.              

 

 

 

Henley Hawks v Nuneaton  

 

Third placed Henley Hawks entertain seventh placed Nuneaton looking to try and close the six point gap on second placed Cornish All Black.

 

Henley’s promotion hopes took a blow last week when they were beaten at Cambridge and the CAB won at home to Barking picking up all five points.   

At Dry Leas this season they have won five out of seven with only Esher and Redruth leaving with wins.

 

Nuneaton were home winners over Halifax last Saturday to return to winning ways after losing at Cambridge last time out. .

On the road they have played eight times picking up just three wins at Bradford & Bingley, Harrogate and Stourbridge.

 

Henley Hawks are looking to do the double over Nuneaton having won 23-13 at Liberty Way earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Hawks to return to winning ways with eight point win.              

 

 

 

Bradford & Bingley v Esher  

 

LEADERS Esher Travel to Wagon Lane to take on third bottom Bradford & Bingley and erase their first defeat of the season and return to winning ways.

 

Bradford & Bingley were beaten at Stourbridge last Saturday slipping to a third successive defeat and with Cambridge winning find themselves 15 points from safety. At home they have managed the one win all season a narrow one point win over the Cornish All Blacks 24-23 earlier in the season.

 

Esher lost their 100% record for the season when going down narrowly 12-10 at home to Manchester last Saturday.  

On the road they have won all seven matches this season and have yet to give up a losing bonus point.   

 

Esher were 49-21 winners when the sides met earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Esher to return to winning ways with 10 point win at Wagon Lane.              

 

 

 

Manchester v Cornish All Blacks  

 

10th placed Manchester entertain second placed Cornish All Blacks at Grove Lane looking to maintain their winning run.

Manchester will be looking for a fourth straight win after their surprise win over league leaders Esher last Saturday to end their 100% start to the season . They are now just four points of a top half spot after their recent surge in form.  

At home this season they have a reasonable record with four wins from seven matches with Esher, Wharfedale and Barking leaving with wins.

 

The Cornish All Blacks were home winners over Barking last week to make it back to back wins after slipping up at home to Wharfedale. That win put them six points clear of third placed Henley who slipped up away at Cambridge  

On the road this season they have won five out of seven losing just twice, each time by a single point at Stourbridge and Bradford & Bingley.

 

The Cornish All Blacks were 22-14 when the sides met at Polson Bridge earlier in the season.

 

Prediction:  All Blacks to win by seven points.              

 

 

 

Halifax v Stourbridge  

 

Eighth placed Halifax entertain fourth placed Stourbridge looking to return to winning ways.

 

Halifax were beaten away at Nuneaton last Saturday and have won just one of their last four matches in the league. At home this season they have a good record with six wins in eight matches and only Esher and Manchester leaving with wins.

 

Stourbridge returned to winning ways last Saturday with a 33-3 home win over struggling Bradford & Bingley to maintain fourth spot and close to within three points of third placed Henley Hawks.   

On the road this season they have played seven times picking up four wins along the way and coming unstuck at Esher, Manchester and Wharfedale.  

 

Halifax were winner at Stourton Park when the sides met earlier in the season winning narrowly 6-3.  

 

Prediction: Home win for Halifax over Stourbridge by six points.            

 

 

 

Redruth v Blackheath  

 

Fifth placed Redruth entertain sixth placed Blackheath with both sides looking to continue winning runs.  

 

Redruth after a two match losing run returned to winning ways last Saturday with a win at Harrogate but are still 13 points off second placed Henley Hawks.

At home this season they have played seven times and won five times coming unstuck against the top two Esher and Cornish All Blacks.   

 

Blackheath were home winners over Wharfedale last Saturday to make it three wins in four matches but like Redruth are 13 points behind second placed Henley Hawks.

On the road this season they have played seven times and managed just three wins.

 

Blackheath were convincing winners when the sides met earlier in the season 55-16.

 

Prediction: Home win for Redruth over Blackheath by nine points.            

 

 

 

Wharfedale v Cambridge  

 

Ninth placed Wharfedale entertain 11th placed Cambridge at Threshfields looking to return to winning ways.

 

Wharfedale saw their three match winning run come to an end last Saturday going down to a 25-19 defeat away at Blackheath.  

At home this season they have played seven times and picked up four wins losing three times to Blackheath, Henley Hawks and Cornish All Blacks.

 

Cambridge picked up an excellent home win over high flying Henley Hawks last Saturday to put themselves 15 points clear of Bradford & Bingley and the final relegation spot.

On the road they have a terrible record this season with eight straight defeats picking up three losing bonus points along the way.

 

Cambridge were 22-16 winners when the two sides met earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Home win for the Green Machine at Threshfields by six points over an improving Cambridge side. .
