Terrace Talk - National One

Doncaster v Leeds Tykes

Leaders Leeds Tykes travel to fourth placed Doncaster looking to build on their eight point lead with the second and third placed sides not playing in the league this weekend.

Doncaster returned to winning ways last time out after a three match run when they failed to win, losing two and drawing one.

They have an impressive home record this season with eight wins in ten matches. Losing narrowly to the Cornish Pirates and drawing against London Welsh.

The Tykes are looking to make it five on the bounce in the league after going out of the National Trophy last Friday night to the Cornish Pirates.

On the road this season they have won seven out of ten, losing two and drawing one along the way.

When the sides met at Headingley earlier in the season the Tykes were 30-18 winners.

Prediction: Tykes to keep marching on with six point win. .

London Welsh v Earth Titans

Third placed Earth Titans travel to Old Deer Park to take on 13th placed London Welsh knowing they need to pick up all five points to try and keep up with the leaders.

London Welsh were dumped out of the EDF National Trophy last weekend by Doncaster. In the league they were beaten last time out which ended a three match run when they were undefeated with two wins and a draw to climb the table.

At Old Deer Park this season they have the second worst record in the division winning just three times in 11 matches.

Earth Titans are looking to make it five league wins in a row after slipping to successive defeats. They trail the leaders by nine points and probably have to win their remaining nine matches to have any chance of catching them.

On the road they have won seven of their ten matches coming unstuck three times.

Earth Titans were comfortable winners when the two sides met earlier in the season at Clifton Lane, 47-6

Prediction: .Titans to win by eight points at Old Deer Park

Sedgley Park v Moseley

Second Bottom Moseley travel to 12th placed Sedgley Park looking for a win which would move them out of the relegation zone with Otley not playing this weekend.

Sedgley Park are looking to end a two match losing run and increase the seven point gap separating them form the relegation zone.

At Park Lane this season they have won four of their 12 matches picking up six bonus points.

Moseley have lost three of their last four matches and are two points behind third bottom Otley in the table so a win here could take them two or three points above Otley in the table and close the gap on London Welsh and Otley.

On the road they have the worst record in the division with just one win in 11 matches and picking up just two bonus points.

Moseley were home winners in this fixture earlier in the season 32-25.

Prediction: .Park win by seven at Park Lane against Moseley.
