Cleckheaton v Tynedale    

 

Leaders Tynedale travel to second bottom Cleckheaton looking for all five points on offer.

 

Cleckheaton find themselves 11 points from safety with games running out as they look to stop a three match losing run.

At Moorend this season they have managed just three wins in nine matches.  

 

Tynedale look to at least maintain their four point lead at the top of the league table. They top the Form Guide with six wins in their last six matches. On the road they have seven wins in ten matches with a draw and two defeats in their other three matches. 

 

Tynedale were comfortable 54-12 winners when the sides met earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Away win for Tynedale by 12 points at Moorend.                                             

 

 

 

Darlington v Blaydon    

 

Second placed Blaydon travel to 11th placed Darlington looking to build on last weeks win at home to Fylde.  

 

Darlington are in need of some wins and will be looking to build on last weeks away win at West Park St Helens which helped them out of the bottom three. 

At home this season they have picked up four wins in ten matches.

 

Blaydon after back to back defeats which have seen them lose top spot in the division will be hoping to make it back to back wins and keep ahead of third placed Rugby Lions who are just a couple of points behind them in the table.

 

Blaydon were 36-20 winners when the sides met at Crow Trees earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Blaydon to pick up an eight point away win at Blackwell Meadows.                                              

 

 

 

 

Hull Ionians v Preston Grasshoppers    

 

10th placed Hull Ionians take on fourth placed Preston Grasshoppers looking for the win to try and move away from the relegation zone.   

 

Hull Ionians after back to back wins were beaten at home last Saturday by Leicester Lions and are just a point above the relegation zone.

At home this season they have managed just three wins in nine matches.

 

Hoppers are one of the form sides in the division and are looking for a fourth straight league win and are now only three points of second placed Blaydon.

On the road they have picked up six wins in ten matches.

 

Hull Ionians are looking to complete the double over Hoppers having won 24-20 at Lightfoot Green earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Home win for Ionians by five points.                                             

 

 

 

 

Leicester Lions v Fylde    

 

Eight placed Leicester Lions entertain fifth placed Fylde looking to move even further clear of the relegation zone.

 

Leicester Lions picked up a valuable away win at Hull Ionians last Saturday to make it three wins on the bounce as they look to continue to climb the table. .

At Westleigh Park this season they have six wins and a draw from their ten matches. 

 

Fylde have slipped of late with three straight defeats to fall of the pace for a top two finish. 

On the road they have picked up four wins in nine matches to date this season.

 

Fylde were 30-6 winners at Woodlands when the sides met earlier in the season.

 

Prediction:  Home win for the Lions over Fylde by six points.                                             

 

 

 

 

Macclesfield v Rugby Lions    

 

Ninth placed Macclesfield entertain third placed Rugby Lions looking to end a losing run which has seen them drop to within three points of the relegation zone.

 

Macclesfield have slipped down the table recently on the back of three straight defeats and have been drawn into the relegation battle.

At home this season they have done reasonably well with six wins in nine matches.

 

Rugby Lions were given a run for their money last Saturday by Morley at Webb Ellis Road before coming through 19-17. 

On the road this season the Lions struggled with just four wins in nine matches.

 

Rugby Lions were narrow home winners when the sides met earlier in the season 18-13.

 

Prediction: Away win for Rugby Lions by eight points at Priory Park.                                              

 

 

 

 

Morley v West Park St Helens    

 

Seventh placed Morley entertain third bottom West Park St Helens with just four points separating the sides.

 

Morley were narrowly beaten at Rugby Lions last week and are just four points above the relegation zone.

 

West Park are looking to bounce back after losing to Darlington at home last Saturday and slipping into the relegation zone. 

On the road this season they have a poor record with two wins and a draw in their nine matches to date

 

When the sides met at Redrocks earlier in the season Park ran out comfortable 31-12 winners.  

 

Prediction: Home win for Morley by seven points at home to West Park.                                             

 

 

 

 

Orrell v Darlington Mowden Park    

 

Bottom of the table Orrell entertain sixth placed Darlington Mowden Park  

 

Orrell are still looking for that first win of the season but last week suffered their heaviest defeat of the season going down 102-0 at Tynedale. 

At home they have just one draw and eight defeats to date this season.

 

Darlington Mowden Park are looking to make it three wins in four matches and increase the eight point gap they have on the relegation zone.

On the road they have a poor record with just one win and a draw in ten matches.

 

Darlington Mowden Park thrashed Orrell 73-29 at home earlier this season.

 

Prediction:  Comfortable away win for DMP at Edge Hall Road by 12 points.
