Barking v Wharfedale    

 

Second bottom Barking entertain seventh placed Wharfedale knowing defeat could see them mathematically relegated if Cambridge were to win  

 

Barking are 24 points from safety with just six matches remaining. They have lost their last three matches and at home this season have done very poorly. In nine matches they have managed just one win.    

 

Wharfedale can consolidate their place in the top half of the table win a win in this match. They have though done badly on the road this season with just three wins in ten matches.

 

Wharfedale were comfortable 46-5 winners when the sides met at Threshfields earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Away win for Wharfedale over Barking by eight points.               

 

 

 

Bradford & Bingley v Cambridge    

 

Third bottom Bradford & Bingley entertain fourth bottom Cambridge with a victory for the away side all but settling the relegation issue.

 

Bradford & Bingley have to win to have any chance of catching Cambridge and even then it is a long shot with games running out.  

At Wagon Lane this season they have only managed two wins in nine matches to date this season.

 

Cambridge have shown some improved form of late and picked up four wins in their last six matches to open up a 20 point gap of their opponents.

On the road they have dine badly with one win in ten and that was against second bottom Barking.   

 

Cambridge are looking to complete the double over the Bees having already beaten them 41-17 earlier in the season.

 

Prediction:  Got to go with away win for Cambridge by seven points.                

 

 

 

Esher v Cornish All Blacks    

 

Leaders Esher entertain second played Cornish All Blacks looking to extend their eight point lead at the top of the table over their opponents.

 

Esher do not seem to have played for weeks with Cup matches and postponements. They have won five of their last six league matches and a win here would put them well clear.

Esher have won all but one at home this season with only Manchester leaving with a win.

 

Cornish All Blacks are unbeaten in five matches with four wins and a draw in their last five matches and lead third placed Henley Hawks by just two points but do have a game in hand.  

On the road they have an excellent record with six wins and a draw in nine matches.

 

At Polson Bridge earlier in the season Esher left with a 33-19 against the Cornish All Blacks.      

 

Prediction: Home win for Esher by five points over the Cornish All Blacks.                

 

 

 

Halifax v Blackheath     

 

Eighth placed Halifax entertain fifth placed Blackheath looking for a win which could take them back into the top half of the table again.

 

Halifax are looking to make it back to back wins after a two match losing spell.  

At home this season they have done well picking up seven wins in ten matches.   

 

Blackheath are also looking to extend their winning run to two matches and close the four point gap on fourth placed Redruth.

On the road they have a poor record with just three wins in nine matches.

 

Blackheath won a high scoring affair at the Rectory Field earlier in the season 42-27.

 

Prediction: .Home win for Halifax over Blackheath by eight points.              

 

 

 

Manchester v Henley Hawks    

 

Third placed Henley Hawks travel to Grove Lane to take on ninth placed Manchester looking for a win to stay in the promotion chase.

 

Manchester are near the top of the Form Guide with four wins and a draw in their last six matches as they look to break into the top half of the table.

At home this season they have done well with six wins in nine matches.  

 

Henley are just two points behind the Cornish All Blacks and with the Cornish side away at leaders Esher the Hawks will be looking to leap frog them into second place.    

On the road the Hawks have managed seven wins in ten matches.

 

When the sides met at Dry Leas earlier in the season the Hawks win a low scoring match 12-5.

 

Prediction: Away win for the Hawks at Grove Lane by six points.                 

 

 

 

Redruth v Nuneaton    

 

Fourth placed Redruth entertain 10th placed Nuneaton looking to stay ahead of Blackheath in the table.  

 

Redruth are second in the Form Guide behind leaders Esher with four wins and a draw in their last six matches.

At home this season they have performed well with seven wins in nine matches and only the top two, Esher and Cornish All Blacks, have left with wins.

 

Nuneaton are looking to return to winning ways but on the road have not performed too well.

They have managed three wins in ten matches on the road, two of those have been against sides in the relegation zone.  

 

Redruth were 22-16 winners when the two sides met at Liberty Way earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: .Home win for Redruth over Nuneaton by ten points.                

 

 

 

Stourbridge v Harrogate      

 

Sixth placed Stourbridge entertain bottom of the table Harrogate at Stourton on Saturday looking to end a poor run of form.  

 

Stourbridge have lost three in a row now in the league and will be seeing this as the perfect opportunity to return to wining ways.  

At home they have won six out of nine matches to date and a win here could help close the five point gap on fifth placed Blackheath.  

 

Harrogate are looking to add to their solitary win of the season having lost 19 in a row since winning their opening game of the season.

On the road they have lost all nine matches and failed to pick up any losing bonus points as well along the way.

 

Stourbridge were 47-14 winners at Claro Road when the sides met earlier in the season.  

 

Prediction: .Home win for Stourbridge over bottom of the table Harrogate by 12 points.
