Orrell picked up their second draw of the season with this 18 all home draw against West Park St Helens.
The visitors took the lead when winger Mark Turner went over for his 10th try of the season and a 5-0 lead.
Siyabonga Makhaza replied with a penalty for the home side but on 22 minutes Park went 10-3 ahead after their other winger Matt Clarke went over to make it 10-0. Makhaza pulled three points back with a second penalty goal and when full back George Mosey touched down on 34 minutes and Makhaza converted to make it 13-10. Then just before half time scrum half Richard Bradley touched down and they went in 18-10 in front.
Park Full Back Rob Hitchmough pulled three points back with a 69th minute penalty goal. He got the try to draw the sides level late in the match but could not add the conversion to give Park the win.

Blaydon joined leaders Tynedale on 81 points after this away win at Macclesfield.
It was the home side who took the lead when Charles Winney put over an 11th minute penalty goal.
Three tries in nine minutes later in the half changed the match and put Blaydon in control at 19-3 which was the half time score. The third try came from left wing Andrew Fenby to take his total to 17 for the season.
Four minutes into the second half and they had the four try bonus point in the bag after flanker Andrew Wright touched down.
The home side did manage to cross the visitors try line with No 8 Gareth Lodge touching down but that was the end of the scoring and Blaydon took all five points on offer.

Huge win for Hull Ionians as they look to try and climb away form the relegation zone. The win gives them a three point cushion over third bottom Darlington.
Three penalty goals in the first 24 minutes to give Ionians a 9-0 lead. Michael Breen pulled three points back for the visitors before Ionians got the games opening try ads No 8 Garry Acton touched down and the home side went in 14-3 ahead.
DMP got the opening score of the second half with left wing Ben Seru going over on 50 minutes.
Birch added a fourth penalty goal before three tries in the final quarter saw the home side home and take all five points on offer. There was a double for centre Gary Stephenson and full back Michael Cawthorn got the other.

Morley maintained seventh place after this home win over fifth placed Fylde after trailing at half time.
The home side took the lead early on when No 8 David Hopton touched down and Glenn Boyd converted. Two penalty goals form John Armstrong got the visitors back into the match but when Morley got a second try from centre Peter Murphy the Home side were 12-6 ahead. Fylde were in front on 24 minutes when prop Sam Simpson went over and Armstrong converted and kicked his side into a 16-12 half time lead with a 35 minute penalty goal.
In the second half Morley did all the scoring with tries form forwards Matt Challinor and Peter Dadswell whilst Glenn Boyd put over a conversion and a couple of penalty goals.

Rugby Lions kept alive their outside chance of a top two place with this away win at Cleckheaton.
It took till the 24th minute for the Lions to go in front with Full Back James Hawken putting over a penalty goal in what turned out to be the only score of the first half.
Two tries in the opening 15 minutes of the second half from Hawken, which he also converted, saw the Lions go 17-0 ahead.
Late in the game the visitors got as third try with replacement back Chris Murphy touching down and Hawken again converted.

Leicester Lions continued their good winning run with a home win over struggling Darlington coming through 24-19 winners.
The Lions were ahead on five minutes when Full Back Gareth Collins went over for a try and Jon Boden converted. He added three first half penalty goals in the remainder of the half as the Lions went in 16-0 ahead. Three minutes into the second half and they got a second try to go 21-0 ahead as centre Joe Hill touched down.
Darlington then staged a recovery with three tries in 16 minutes to make it 21-19 after 70 minutes. The tries came from left wing Lee Davis, Second row Richard Snowball and flanker Anthony Lewis and fly half Charles Rayner added a couple of conversions.
Boden settled the nerves with a late penalty goal as the Lions took the win to make themselves all but safe for another season of National League rugby.

Preston Grasshoppers opened up the title race with this home win over leaders Tynedale to make the last four games of the season even more exciting.
The home side were ahead in the opening minute when flanker Juan Crous touched down and Paul Bailey converted. Bailey made it 10-0 with a penalty goal on 22 minutes.
Three minutes later centre Andrew Barnett went over to make it 15-0. Phil Belgian pulled three points back for the visitors but on 32 minutes Hoppers made it 22-3 with winger Russell Flynn going over and Bailey converting. In the second half there was just the one score with right wing Cameron Johnston going over and Belgian converted to make it 22-10 after 52 minutes as Hoppers took the points. |
