Bridgwater & Albion v Clifton    

 

Bridgwater & Albion will be looking to maintain sixth place with a home win over relegation threatened Clifton.

 

Bridgwater & Albion are looking to make it four wins in five matches after returning to winning ways last Saturday.   

In nine home matches this season they have seven wins with only Southend and Westcombe Park leaving with wins.  

 

Clifton need to improve on one win in five matches to if they are to climb the table and get out of the relegation zone.

On the road they have done poorly with two wins and a draw to date.  

 

When these two sides met earlier in the season Albion left with a 32-7 win.

 

Prediction: Home win for Albion over Clifton by eight points              

 

 

 

Canterbury v Cinderford    

 

Fifth placed Canterbury entertain eighth placed Cinderford at Merton Lane looking to extend their winning run.

 

Canterbury after a two match losing run returned to winning ways last Saturday at bottom club Chinnor.

They are two points behind the two sides immediately above them in the table as they challenge for a top three finish.    

At home they have won eight out of 11 matches to date this season.  

 

Cinderford are looking to make it four wins in five matches after returning to winning ways last Saturday.

On the road they have picked up four wins in 11 matches.  

 

Canterbury were 35-17 winners at Cinderford earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Home win for Canterbury over Cinderford by 10 points.               

 

 

 

Hertford v Havant    

 

Relegation threatened Hertford entertain fourth placed Havant looking for a win to try and climb clear of the relegation zone.

 

Hertford slipped to a third consecutive defeat last weekend and are just a point clear of Clifton and a relegation place.

At home this season they have managed just four wins in 12 matches.

 

Havant slipped to a defeat at Westcombe Park last time out so will be looking to return to winning ways.

On the road they have picked up six wins in ten matches top date this season.   

 

Havant were comfortable winners 44-12 when the sides met earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Havant to win away at Hertford by 10 points.              

 

 

 

Lydney v North Walsham    

 

Third placed Lydney take on seventh placed North Walsham looking to return to winning ways after the promotion hopes took a huge hit last week losing away at Dings Crusaders.

 

Lydney were beaten at Dings Crusaders last Saturday which virtually ended their chances of a top two finish with matches running out.  

At Regentsholme this season they have managed to put together a good record with 11 straight wins.  

 

North Walsham returned to winning ways at home to Old Patesians last Saturday after suffering four straight defeats.

On the road this season they have managed just four wins in ten matches to date.  

 

When the sides met at Scottow earlier in the season Lydney came out on top 18-17.  

 

Prediction: Home win for Lydney against North Walsham by 12 points.              

 

 

 

Old Patesians v Westcombe Park    

 

Second placed Westcombe Park travel to second bottom Old Patesians knowing a win could see them guaranteed a top two finish depending on how others go on.   

 

Old Patesians have lost three in a row now and are 11 points from safety and a defeat here could relegate them.  

At Everest Road this season they have managed four wins in 11 matches.

 

Westcombe Park are top of the Form Guide as the only side with six wins out of their last six matches.

They will be looking for all five points on offer to keep the pressure on leaders Southend who they trail by two points.

On the road they have done well with seven wins and a draw in 11 matches.

 

Westcombe Park were pushed all the way by Old Patesians when the side met earlier in the season before coming through narrowly 18-17.

 

Prediction: Westcombe Park to win away at Everest Road by 15 points.               

 

 

 

Rosslyn Park v Dings Crusaders    

 

10th placed Rosslyn Park entertain 9th placed Dings Crusaders looking for a win which could make them safe in the battle of avoid relegation.

  

Park after back to back wins have slipped to successive defeats and need a win give them some breathing space in the battle to avoid the drop.

At home last time out they were beaten by bottom of the table Chinnor and will need to improve on that performance. Overall at home this season they have manage to pick up six wins in 11 matches.

 

Dings have a dreadful away record with nine defeats in 11 matches managing a win and a draw in the other two matches.  

They are looking for a win to make it three wins on the bounce.

 

When the sides met earlier in the season Dings were 34-16 winners.

 

Prediction: Home win for Rosslyn Park by six points against Dings Crusaders.              

 

 

 

Southend v Chinnor     

 

Leaders Southend entertain bottom of the table Chinnor knowing a win will see them safe in a top two place.

 

Southend made it three in a row last Saturday with an away win at Clifton.

At home this season they have a great record winning ten out of 11 matches, only Westcombe Park leaving with a victory.

 

Chinnor returned to losing ways last Saturday going down convincingly against Canterbury.

On the road they have lost ten out of 11 winning on their last away day at Rosslyn Park 13-12.

 

Earlier in the season Southend were away day winners at Chinnor 34-19.

 

Prediction: Comfortable 20 point win for leaders Southend at home to Chinnor.
