Terrace Talk - National Three South

Havant v Old Patesians

Third placed Havant take on second bottom Old Patesians looking to win and stay ahead in the battle for third place.

Havant are looking to make it back to back wins and stay ahead of Canterbury and Lydney who they lead by one and two points respectively.

At Hooks Lane they have managed nine wins and three defeats so far this season.

Old Patesians are looking to avoid a fifth straight defeat and stay ahead of Chinnor who could move above them in the table if they were to win and Old pats were to lose.

On the road they have lost all 12 matches to date this season.

Havant were narrow winners at Everest Road earlier in the season, 25-21.

Prediction: Havant to win by 15 points.

North Walsham v Rosslyn Park

Seventh placed North Walsham ninth placed Rosslyn Park looking to return to winning ways.

North Walsham look likely to finish in seventh place after a disappointing season which has seen them slip of the pace after a bright start to the season.

At home they have managed eight wins and a draw in their 12 matches to date.

Rosslyn Park returned to winning ways last time out to end a run of three defeats and make themselves safe for another season of rugby in the National Leagues.

Rosslyn Park were 13-5 winners at home in a low scoring match earlier in the season.

Prediction: Comfortable home win for North Walsham by 12 points.

Clifton v Hertford

Huge game at the wrong end of the table with both sides in need of a win in the battle to avoid the drop.

Clifton have slipped to successive defeats and need to turn that around and get a win here which would move them above Hertford in the table and out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.

Hertford would make themselves safe if they were to win here and send Clifton back down to South West One.

Hertford were narrowly beaten 21-17 when the sides met at Highfields earlier in the season.

Prediction: Home win for Clifton by six points over Hertford.

Westcombe Park v Lydney

Second placed Westcombe Park travel to fifth placed Lydney looking for the win to stay in the battle for the National Three South title.

Westcombe Park remain two points behind leaders Southend and need just a point to be mathematically safe for at least a top two finish.

They top the Form Guide with six wins in their last six matches and are now the top scorers in the division.

At home they have won 11 out of 12 matches this season with only leaders Southend leaving with a win.

Lydney have slipped of the pace in the battle for a top two finish with three straight defeats in the league and find themselves in fifth place.

On the road they have picked up five wins in 2 matches.

Lydney were narrow 23-19 winners at Regentsholme earlier in the season.

Prediction: Home win for Westcombe Park by 10 points over Lydney.

Dings Crusaders v Canterbury

10th placed Dings Crusaders take on fourth placed Canterbury looking for a win to try and move up a place in the table above Rosslyn Park who have a tough match away at North Walsham.

Dings Crusaders have secured their status in the National Leagues for another season and will be looking to finish off their home campaign with an eighth win at Lockleaze.

Canterbury are looking to make it three in a row with a win at Dings Crusaders. On the road they have done reasonable well winning seven matches out of 12.

Canterbury were comfortable 43-0 winners when the sides met earlier in the season.

Prediction: Away win for Canterbury by six points at Dings Crusaders.

Chinnor v Bridgwater & Albion

Bottom of the table Chinnor take on sixth placed Bridgwater & Albion looking for back to back wins.

Chinnor are looking to make it back to back wins for the first time this season and with a win could move off the bottom of the table. At home they have managed just three wins all season in 12 matches.

Bridgwater & Albion are looking to make it four wins in a row and guarantee sixth place in the table. On the road they have picked up four wins and a draw in their 12 matches to date.

Bridgwater & Albion were comfortable winners 34-10 when the sides met earlier in the season.

Prediction: Away win for Bridgwater & Albion at Chinnor by 12 points to maintain their excellent recent form.

Cinderford v Southend

Eighth placed Cinderford take on leaders Southend looking to return to winning ways.

Cinderford look like they are going to finish in 8th place and would like to end their home campaign with a home win. And have managed just seven win to date at home this season.

Southend will be looking to maintain their two point lead at the top of the table with an away win at and make it five wins on the bounce.

On the road they have an excellent record with nine wins in 12 matches.

When the sides met earlier in the season the home side ran out 31-16 winners.

Prediction: Away win for Southend by 12 points as they push towards the Three South title.
