Terrace Talk - National Two

Barking v Manchester

Already relegated Barking entertain 11th placed Manchester looking for just their fourth win of the season.

Barking have managed just the one home win all season and that was against bottom of the table Harrogate.

They will be keen to win and try and catch Bradford & Bingley who they trail by five points in the table with three matches to go and with a win here with a bonus point that might happen with the Bees facing a tough away match at Redruth. .

Manchester have lost their last four matches and will be keen to return to winning ways at Barking. On the road though they have picked up four wins in 12 matches but one of them was at Esher.

Barking were away day winners at Grove Lane earlier in the season 24-13.

Prediction: Away win for Manchester by 10 points at Barking.

Blackheath v Cornish All Blacks

Second placed Cornish All Blacks travel to fifth placed Blackheath in a must win match to stay ahead of Henley Hawks in the battle for second place.

Blackheath saw a three match winning run come to an end last time out and know that if they are beaten they could be overtaken by Wharfedale.

At home this season they have done well with 10 wins in 12 matches and six times they have passed the 40 point mark.

The Cornish All Blacks are looking to make it four wins on the bounce and stay ahead of Henley Hawks who they lead in the table by just a single point.

On the road this season they have done well winning seven and drawing one of their 11 matches to date.

The Cornish All Blacks were pushed all the way by Blackheath at Polson Bridge before coming through to win narrowly16-13.

Prediction: Away win for the All Blacks by 12 points.

Cambridge v Esher

Leaders Esher travel to ninth placed Cambridge looking to maintain their 100% away record.

Cambridge had an excellent recent run of four straight wins which secured their National Two status for another season but were beaten last time out as the run came to an end.

At home this season they have done well with eight wins in 11 matches.

League Champions Esher have won all 11 matches on the road to date this season and in seven of them have passed the 30 point mark.

Earlier in the season Esher were 34-13 home winners over Cambridge.

Prediction: Away win for Esher at Cambridge by 15 points.

Henley Hawks v Stourbridge

Third placed Henley Hawks entertain seventh placed Stourbridge in a must win match in the battle for second place and promotion into National One.

Henley Hawks are looking for a fifth straight win to stay with the Cornish All Blacks who they trail by a point in the league table with three matches remaining.

At Dry Leas this season the Hawks have won nine out of 11 matches.

Stourbridge have shown indifferent form of late with just two wins in their last six matches.

On the road they have managed just four wins in 11 matches to date this season.

Henley Hawks are looking to do the double over Stourbridge having already won 17-7 at Stourton Park earlier in the season.

Prediction: Home win for the Hawks by 10 points against Stourbridge.

Nuneaton v Harrogate

Eighth placed Nuneaton take on bottom of the table Harrogate looking for back to back wins.

After three straight defeats Nuneaton returned to winning ways last time out to climb above Cambridge in the table.

They are looking for an eighth home win of the season in 12 matches.

Harrogate have lost 21 matches in a row since their opening day win against Cambridge way back in September.

They have yet to win on the road this season losing all 11 matches and failing to pick up even a bonus point.

At Claro Road earlier in the season Nuneaton were away day winners 34-7.

Prediction: Home win for Nuneaton by 15 points over bottom of the table Harrogate.

Redruth v Bradford & Bingley

Fourth placed Redruth entertain 12th placed Bradford & Bingley looking to maintain their excellent recent form.

Redruth are second in the Form Guide with five wins and a draw in their last six matches a record only bettered by league leaders Esher.

Bradford & Bingley are at the other end of the Form Guide with six defeats in their last six matches as they look to return to National Three North after just a season at this level.

Redruth were comfortable 33-7 winners when the sides met at Wagon Lane earlier in the season.

Prediction: Home win for Redruth by 15 points over Bradford & Bingley

Wharfedale v Halifax

Sixth placed Wharfedale entertain 10th placed Halifax knowing five points could see them move up to fifth ion the table.

With Blackheath having a tricky home match against promotion chasing Cornish All Blacks a win in this match could see Wharfedale up into fifth place.

Halifax are at the wrong end of the Form Guide with just one win in their last six matches but a win here could see them move up a couple of places in the table.

Earlier in the season Halifax were home winners in this fixture 32-22.

Prediction: A home win by eight point s for Wharfedale in this Yorkshire derby against Halifax at Threshfields.
