Stourbridge v Wharfedale    

 

Seventh placed Stourbridge entertain fifth placed Wharfedale looking to try and close the gap on the Yorkshire side who they trail by five points at Stourton. .

 

Stourbridge are looking to end the season with some form after a disappointing run recently which has seen them win just two of their last six matches.

 

Wharfedale are on of the form sides in the division with five wins and a draw to climb the table. On the road they have managed just five wins in 12 matches to date this season.  

 

Wharfedale were 30-23 winners when the sides met at Threshfields earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Home win for Stourbridge by five points.               

 

 

 

Halifax v Redruth    

 

Fourth placed Redruth travel to 11th placed Halifax looking to maintain their winning run.  

 

Halifax are at the wrong end of the Form Guide with just one win in their last six matches which has seen them slip down the table into 11th place. On the road they have seven wins in their 12 matches to date.

 

Redruth are joint top of the Form Guide with five wins and a draw in their last six matches. On the road this season they have seven wind and a draw in their 12 matches to date.  

 

Redruth were 24-8 home winners when the sides met earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Halifax to slip up at home with Redruth taking a nine point win back to Cornwall.                

 

 

 

Manchester v Nuneaton   

 

10th placed Manchester entertain eighth placed Nuneaton with both sides coming into the match on the back of big wins last Saturday.

 

Manchester were big away day winners at Barking last Saturday 70-15 easily their biggest away win of the season.

At home they have five wins and a draw in their 12 matches to date. 

 

Nuneaton produced the biggest win of the season in National Two with a 90-0 home win over Harrogate. That made it two wins in a row after a four match losing run. On the road they have picked up just four wins in 12 matches.

 

Nuneaton were 23-11 when the sides met at Liberty Way earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Home advantage to count as Manchester record eight point win.                

 

 

 

Esher v Henley Hawks    

 

Leaders Esher take on third placed Henley Hawks with the visitors in a must win match as they look to keep the pressure on the Cornish All Blacks.  

 

Esher were beaten for just the second time this season losing narrowly in a high scoring match at Cambridge.

They have lost just the once at home this season going down narrowly against Manchester. 

 

The Hawks have to win in this match to make sure they stay in touch with Cornish All Blacks, otherwise they could find themselves out of the promotion race. On the road they have picked up nine wins and just three defeats. And are furth in the Form Guide with five straight wins behind them.

 

Esher were 20-5 winners at Dry Leas when the sides met earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Tough call with Henley having to win but will go Esher by seven points.                

 

 

 

Harrogate v Blackheath    

 

Bottom of the table entertain sixth placed Blackheath looking to end their 23 match losing run.

 

Harrogate would love to get another win before the end of the season to break their worst ever losing run. They have just the one win at home to date beating Cambridge on the opening day of the season.

 

Blackheath are looking to avoid a third straight defeat which has seen them slip down the table with Wharfedale going above them.     

On the road they have managed just four wins in 12 matches to date.

 

At the Rectory Field earlier in the season Blackheath ran out convincing 42-15 winners.

 

Prediction: Away win for Blackheath at Harrogate by 10 points.                

 

 

 

Bradford & Bingley v Barking    

 

A Basement battle as third bottom Bradford & Bingley entertain second bottom Barking at Wagon Lane.

 

Bradford & Bingley have no wins in their last six matches and are joint bottom of the Form Guide with six straight defeats. 

At Wagon Lane this season they have two wins over Harrogate and Cornish All Blacks.

 

Barking Are joint bottom of the Form Guide with no wins in their last six matches.

On the road they have managed to pick up two wins along the way against Harrogate and Manchester in twelve away days.

 

 

The Bees were winners at Barking earlier in the season winning narrowly 21-17.

 

Prediction: Home win for the Bees by eight points over Barking.                

 

 

 

Launceston v Cambridge    

 

Second placed Cornish All Blacks entertain ninth placed Cambridge knowing a win could see them promoted if Henley Hawks lose at Esher and fail to pick up a bonus point and the CAB take a try bonus point in a win over Cambridge. 

 

The Cornish All Blacks are looking for a fifth straight win to put them a step closer to securing second place and promotion to National One.  

At home they no problems with ten wins in 12 matches.

  

Cambridge will be on a high after an excellent home win over League Champions Esher. They have though on the road managed just the two wins in 12 matches.  

 

The Cornish All Blacks were narrow 32-27 winners in a high scoring match between the two sides earlier in the season.

 

Prediction: Home win for by eight for the Cornish All Blacks as they look to secure second spot in the table.
