Sedgley Park 47 (Tries: Jones 2 (10, 43), Newton (16), Albinson (19), Riley (23), Fourie (46), Hall (56). Cons: Riley 6.        

Newbury 45 (Tries: Gibson 2 (1, 77), Nutt (26), Smaje (51), Chance (58), Morgan (73). Cons: Defty 6. Pen: Defty (41).  

What a game at Park Lane with ninety two points scored and the sides separated by just two by the end as Park out scored Newbury seven tries to six.  

Right wing Liam Gibson put the visitors ahead in the opening minute with a try converted by full back Nicky Defty for 7-0. Nine minutes later and Park were level with fly half Phil Jones going over and Full back Matt Riley converted. Three more tries in the next 13 minutes saw Park open up a 26-7 lead with flanker Adam Newton, scrum half Jamie Albinson and Riley touching down and Riley adding a couple of conversions and the try bonus point was in the bag.   

Newbury reduced the deficit to 12 points with a second try as left wing Martin Nutt going over and Defty again converting.

Defty pulled three points back early in the second half before Park ran in two more tries in three minutes to go into what look an unassailable 40-17 lead as Jones got a second try and Lock Tim Fourie went over and Riley converted both.

Replacement scrum half Dan Smaje went over for the visitors but centre Chris Hall replied for the home side. To make it 47-24 after 56 minutes. Just before the hour mark second row Jon Chance got the fourth but they were still three scores behind.

In the last ten minutes they got further tries as flanker Chris Morgan went over and that was followed by a sixth try as Gibson completed a double and with Defty converting both of them they finished just two point adrift of Park. It was the highest ever score in the division by a losing side.   

      

Exeter Chiefs 46 (Tries: Baxter 2 (2, 51), A Fatialofa (29), Luff (40), Yapp 2 (41, 76), Murdoch (62). Cons: Yapp 4. Pen: Yapp (12).         

Otley 24 (Tries: Smith 2 (20, 79), Sayers (45), Andre (66). Cons: Shuttleworth 2.  

Exeter Chiefs moved up to fourth place with this home win over Otley running in seven tries. The home side were ahead after just two minutes with No 8 Richard Baxter going over and Tony Yapp converted and put over a penalty goal ten minutes later for 10-0. On 20 minutes Otley were on the scoreboard with winger Danny Smith touching down his 9th try of the season and Ian Shuttleworth converted. 

Tries form centre Aliafatu Fatialofa and wing Jason Luff, Yapp adding one conversion, sent the home side in 22-7 ahead.

In the opening minute of the second half Yapp got the bonus point try and converted to make it 29-7. Hooker Duncan Sayers got a second try for the visitors four minutes later.

The Chiefs responded with tries form Baxter and left wing Alistair Murdoch and Yapp added a conversion to make it 41-12 after 61 minutes.

In the final quarter Otley went in for two more tries with right wing Xavier Andre and Smith, with a second, going over to give Otley the try bonus point. That still left them three points from safety with one match remaining. 

  

Doncaster 68 (Tries: Bailey 2 (17, 72), Cannon (22), Forster 2 (28, 33), Talei 2 (45, 63), Griffiths (52), Rees (67), W Davies (75). Cons: Rees 9.       

Waterloo 15 (Tries: Loader (13), Munro (47). Con: Munro. Pen: Munro (31).  

Doncaster maintained third place with this comprehensive win over bottom of the table Waterloo.

Waterloo were first on the scoreboard with wing Dan Loader going over for an unconverted try on 13 minutes. This sparked Doncaster into action and by half time they had built up a 26-5 half time lead with four tries including a double form flanker Jason Forster to take him to 25 for the season. In the second half there were doubles completed for wing Paul Bailey and No 8 Nateni Talei as they added another six tries as fly half Cerith Rees finished the match with 23 points form nine conversion, out of ten, and a try.  

 

Bedford Blues 30 (Tries: Harding (2), Kettle (40), Burke (36), Pritchard (47). Cons: Pritchard 2. Pens: Pritchard 2 (21, 54).      

Plymouth Albion 13 (Try: Cruickshanks (45). Con: Van Eyk. Pen: Van Eyk (16). DG: Barnes (6). .  

Bedford Blues join Plymouth Albion on 95 points but remain 7th with Albion above them on the most wins rule.  

The home side were ahead on two minutes with flanker Sacha Harding going over and James Pritchard added the extras.

Soon after Ed Barnes dropped a goal for Albion and then Regardt Van Eyk put over a penalty goal. 

Pritchard put one over for the home side and then late in the half there were tries for full back Brendan Burke and No 8 Adam Kettle to lead 20-6 at half time. .

Five minutes into the second half and Albion were over for a try form centre Aaron Cruickshanks and Van Eyk converted for 20-13.

Two minutes later and Pritchard went over for his 12th try of the season and added the conversion to make it 27-13. Pritchard put over a penalty goal on 54 minutes and the Blues led 30-13 with what was the final score of the match.

 

Moseley 21 (Tries: Binns (20), Winter (68). Con: Thomas. Pens: Thomas 3 (3, 19, 30).      

London Welsh 23 (Tries: Hopkins (11), Ritchie (15), Cadwallader (71). Con: Marks. Pens: Pugh 2 (58, 76).    

London Welsh were away day winners at Moseley with the Midlanders desperate for the win to try and secure their National One status for another season.

Ollie Thomas put the home side ahead with a 3rd minute penalty goal. Bit eight minutes later and the Welsh were ahead with a try from centre Aaron Hopkins and Tom Marks put over the conversion. Four minutes later they were further ahead with hooker Chris Ritchie touching down for 12-3.

Thomas pulled three more points back with a second penalty goal on 19 minutes and a minute later they were over for a try with centre Andy Binns touching down to make it 12-11. On the half hour mark Moseley were in front with Thomas putting over his third penalty off the half and sent his side in 14-12 ahead at the break.

18 minutes into the second half and the visitors were back in front after Dylan Pugh put over a penalty goal having just come on for Tom Marks.     

In the 68th Moseley were back in front with a try from left wing Oliver Winter and Thomas converted for 21-15.

Three minutes later and it was a one point game with left wing Alex Cadwallader going over for an unconverted try.

The Welsh snatched the lead on 76 minutes when Pugh put over a penalty goal.

 

Nottingham 54 (Tries: Dodge (14), Kay 2 (20, 40), Jackson (37), Nirmalendran (58), Hopkins (73), Stenhouse (79), Savage (80). Cons: Barlow 4, Stenhouse, Jackson 2.     

Coventry 0    

Comfortable home win for Nottingham over Coventry at Meadow Lane running in eight unanswered tries. They got four in the first half to build up a 26-0 lead with winger Joshua Kay getting a brace. 

It took them 18 minutes to add a fifth in the second half with full back Rohan Nirmalendran going over and Tom Barlow converted. They got three more tries but they did not come till the last ten minutes as they wrapped up the win.  

 

Leeds Tykes 29 (Tries: Dunbar (4), McDonald (62), Hinton (74). Con: Hinton. Pens: Hinton 4 (27, 40, 46, 78).      

Earth Titans 32 (Tries: Claassens (19), Lund (55). Cons: Steenson 2. Pens: Steenson 5 (14, 43, 49, 60, 65. DG: Steenson (79).    

With Leeds Tykes already confirmed as Champions it was party time at Headingley but Earth Titans spoiled it on the pitch with a narrow away snatched late on to send the home side to their 4th defeat of the season.  

Leeds were ahead after just four minutes with flanker Jin Dunbar going over for a 5-0 lead. Back came the Titans with a Gareth Steenson penalty goal and a try from winger Errie Claassens and Steenson converted it to make it 10-5. Two Leigh Hinton penalty goals saw the home side lead 11-10 at half time.

Early in the second half there were penalty goals for Hinton and Steenson, two, as the Titans went 16-14 ahead after 49 minutes.

On 55 minutes they got a second try as lock Erik Lund went over and Steenson added the extras before putting over a penalty goal to make it 26-14 after an hour.

Two minutes later and prop Mike McDonald touched down foe the home side and Hinton converted to get them back within five of the visitors. Steenson though put over a fifth penalty goal and made it 29-21 ahead.

Hinton went over for a try on 74 minutes and when he put over a penalty goal four minutes later it was all square at 29 all.

Steenson had the final stay with a 79th minute drop goal. 

Hinton moved to 300 points for the season with his 19 points whilst Steenson with his 22 points moved passed 250 and ended the match on 252 points for the season.

 

Cornish Pirates 55 (Tries: Winnan 2 (16, 58), Penalty try 2 (32, 54), Moore 3 (47, 48, 74), Bell (65), Beardshaw (78). Cons: Di Bernardo 5.       

Pertemps Bees 14 (Tries: Spee (56), Qera (70). Cons: Higgins, Petty.    

It was just 14-0 at half time with two tries as Full Back Adryan Winnan went over on 16 minutes and then they were awarded a penalty try and Alberto Di Bernardo converted them both.

In the second half winger James Moore went in for two tries in a minute and pulled them away into a 24-0 lead and secure the bonus point after 48 minutes. Six minutes later they were awarded a second penalty try and they went 31-0 ahead. The Bees finally got on the scoresheet when right wing Reece Spee went over and Jon Higgins converted. Winnan completed a double a couple of minutes later and centre Duncan Bell went over for the seventh try on 65 minutes to make it 43-7. The Bees got a second try as flanker Akapusi Qera went over for his 15th try of the season.

The Pirates were not finished and Moore completed a hat trick on 74 minutes before second row Joe Beardshaw finished of the scoring on 78th minute with the 9th home try of the afternoon.
