Halifax finished the season with a win but remain in 11th place in the table.
They took the lead on four minutes with Joe Knowles putting over a penalty goal. The home side were ahead eight minutes later with prop Sebastian Rate going over for a try. Halifax were back in front on 23 minutes when flanker Gareth Lewis went over and Knowles converted and six minutes later knocked over a penalty goal to make it 13-5. With half time approaching the visitors got a second try as the other flanker Daniel Solomi went over and again Knowles converted to make it 20-5 at half time.
The only score of the second half came the way of Halifax with scrum half Craig Aikman going over and Knowles again adding the extras.

Cambridge ran up the biggest score of the season in the division with this thrashing of bottom of the table Harrogate who beat them on the opening day of the season.
They were ahead in the opening minute with centre Johannes Lombaard going over and Dafydd Lewis converting. He got a second on five minutes as they went 14-0 ahead. He went on to get five in the match and move onto 21 tries for the season to leave him joint second in the try scores list.
There was also a hat trick for flanker James Leigh as they went on to score 17 tries. They were 11 conversions for Lewis taking him to 161 points for the season.
The win was enough to see them finish ninth in the table after a good second half to the season.

Comprehensive home win for Manchester as they consolidated eighth place in the table running in 10 unanswered tries.
They were ahead in the opening minute with centre Isaac Richmond going over and Scott Rawlings adding the conversion.
Prop Nick Flynn got the second try on 12 minutes as they went 14-0 ahead. By half time they had built a 45-0 lead with five more tries.
Centre Scott Rawlings bagged a second half brace to complete a hat trick and put over six conversions to make it a 27 point haul for the afternoon.
Henley Hawks 31 Cornish All Blacks 7

Henley Hawks were comfortable winners over Cornish All Blacks having lost out to them in the battle for the second promotion spot into National One last weekend.
The Hawks were ahead on eight minutes when hooker Liam Wordley went over for a try which took him into double figures for the season.
The All Blacks were level just before the half hour mark but two late tries in the half saw the home side go in 19-7 ahead with touchdowns for flanker Stern Williams and centre Luke Burns.
In the second half a try from winger Chris Simmons gave them the bonus point and Wordley wrapped it up with a late try to complete a double.
Redruth 32 Stourbridge 28

Redruth picked up their 19th win of the season with this victory over Stourbridge with both sides scoring four tries each.
Michael Hook gave the home side the lead with a 9th minute penalty goal. It took till the 37th minute for the score to change with Redruth going 10-0 ahead after centre Paul Thirlby went over and Hook converted.
Two minutes into the second half and left wing Tim McBride went over and they were 15-0 ahead. Winger Ali Bressington got the visitors right back into the match with a brace of tries on 55 and 60 minutes he converted them both and they were 18-14 down going into the final quarter.
The home side responded with two tries in four minutes to establish a 32-14 lead after 70 minutes with the other wing Rob Thirlby going over and Flanker Nathan Pascoe also touching down and Hook converted both.
Stourbridge refused to lie down and tries from forwards No 8 Jim Jenner and lock Ali Muldowney and Bressington converted both to get a losing bonus point and a try bonus point.
Bressington finished the match with 18 points and took his tally for the season to 290 and 19 tries for the season. He finished second in the points scorers and fourth in the try scorers list.
Wharfedale 36 Esher 36

Champions Esher were held to a draw at Threshfields by Wharfedale in an 11 try thriller.
Esher were ahead after six minutes with prop Jeff Smith touching down and Neil Hallett converted.
Back came the home side with tries form wing Simon Horsfall and N 8 Rob Baldwin with Mark Bedworth putting over a conversion to lead 12-7 after 22 minutes.
Hallett pulled three points back with a penalty goal but Bedworth got a try on 37 minutes converted it and led 19-10. At the end of the half Esher came storming back with tries form Hallett and hooker Simon Goldsmith, Hallett converted both, and they led 24-19.
Eight minutes into the second half and they pulled ahead with scrum half Graham Barr going over and Hallett converted and they were 31-19 ahead and looked to be on there way to a 24th win of the season.
Wharfedale had other ideas and a double from Horsfall taking him to a hat trick saw them draw level after 69 minutes.
Esher regained the lead on 72 minutes when wing Richard Briggs went over to lead 36-31.
On 79 minutes flanker Hedley Verity went over to draw the sides level but the conversion was missed and both sides had to settle for a draw and three points each.
Nuneaton 20 Blackheath 22

Flanker Tim Prosser Shaw gave the home side the lead on 17 minutes with a try and Gareth Cull converted for 7-0.
Blackheath were off the mark on 21 minutes when flanker James Kellard went over and they got a second try late in the half from right wing Sam Wardingley and this time Neale converted to lead 12-7. Cull narrowed the gap late in the half to go in two points down.
Four minutes into the second half and lock Alex Shaw went over and the Nuns were back in front 17-12 with Cull converting. On 64 minutes Blackheath were back in front when scrum half Ben Ibrahim went over and Neale converted for 19-17. Cull gave the home side the lead again a few minutes later but the match was won late on with a Neale drop goal for the visitors. |
