Twickenham is the home of English rugby, the headquarters of the Rugby Football Union and one of the foremost event and business venues in Europe. We are currently in the midst of a multi-million pound redevelopment of the stadium which will increase the diverse range of activities on site. Having already increased our spectator capacity to 82,000, the new facilities include a 156 bedroom Marriott hotel, a Virgin Active leisure club, conference and banqueting facilities, a performing arts centre, a Rugby store and new office accommodation, making the stadium a 365 day a year business. Further development is planned for the North end of the site with a substantial housing development.
To manage the on site provision of building maintenance, associated FM services and event technical requirements, to both the RFU and to our business partners, we require a suitably qualified and experienced Facility Management professional to lead the Technical & Facilities department into the next generation of operations.
Key responsibilities will include: • Developing a facilities management strategy for the Stadium complex • Negotiating and managing all service contracts • Developing and implementing a detailed routine and preventative maintenance programme • Ensuring that the department delivers the highest standard of services to all departments and partners on event and function days • Managing the agreed Capital Expenditure programme • Ensuring that the stadium meets it’s statutory and health and safety obligations Lead, manage and inspire the Technical & Facilities team, ensuring a smooth transition through the current period of change
To succeed in this high profile role, you will need credible management experience in a similar role within a multi use facility environment. Experience of developing and implementing facility management strategies to improve service delivery and quality is essential. You must be able to demonstrate outstanding customer service, leadership, motivation and management skills, and be able to work flexibly to meet business demands.
