England Counties XV Assistant Team Manager vacancy

 

ASSISTANT TEAM MANAGER, ENGLAND COUNTIES XV

The England Counties XV is appointing an Assistant Team Manager.  This is an honorary position.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant team manager will assist the Team Manager in the running of the England Counties XV leading up to and during tours and home/away fixtures. He/she will assume responsibility for the logistical arrangements and day to day planning that is required for a fixture or tour to be successfully concluded

The successful applicant will, amongst other duties, be responsible for kit distribution and management, laundry arrangements, hotel administration and airport transfers.

The Assistant team manager will work closely with the Team manager to ensure that all aspects of the England Counties XV programme are successfully executed, and the expectations of the RFU, team management, staff and players are met.

Time commitment

The post holder should be willing and able to commit to the following:

1)       Team Management meetings

2)       Squad Training sessions when applicable

3)       Spring Internationals (x2 long weekends)

4)       2 week summer tour

Further responsibilities

·          In consultation with the Team Manager, players and other support staff, establish ‘Team Standards/Conduct’ parameters.

·          To ensure responsibility for dissemination of information to team management and players on daily basis

·          To liaise with hotels/training grounds/leisure facilities on a daily basis

·          To ensure that the medical team are given the required assistance as and when necessary, particularly with equipment.

·          To ensure that coaching staff have all necessary training equipment

·          To ensure match day venues are prepared and dressed to England Counties XV standards

·          Complete a full written report after each match / tour

It is vital that the successful applicant develops a close working relationship with management colleagues, medical staff, coaches and the playing squad. The entire party is to be kept fully informed at all times of logistical arrangements. The successful applicant will maintain a confident and positive approach to their duties.

The successful applicant will receive appropriate travel expenses.

The position is for three years, reviewed annually
