Terrace Talk - National Two

Check out our previews and predictions for National Two.

Esher v Nuneaton

4th placed Nuneaton travel to 12th placed Esher looking to continue their good recent run which has seen them climb the National Two league table over the last few weeks.

The Nuns have won their last five league matches and are joint top of the Form Guide table with leaders Sedgley Park. Esher have win their last two league matches and are now within a point of 11th placed Newbury as they look to try and capture their form of last season. With the return of Jonathan Gregory and the recent signing of Luke Smith they have the fire power to control matches now to have a far better second half of the season.

Esher have some work to do in this fixture to turn round a heavy defeat at Liberty Way a few weeks back.

Team news:

Prediction: Narrow home win by less than seven.

Moseley v Doncaster

9th placed Moseley entertain Doncaster who have slipped down to seventh after a couple of disappointing results. Mosley need to rely on their home form to keep clear of the relegation zone and with just two wins in their last six matches this is a match which they need to get a result in.

Doncaster are looking to avoid a third consecutive defeat after a great run which saw them rise to third place in the league table.

When the sides met at Armthorpe a few weeks back Moseley ran Doncaster quite close and with home advantage must fancy their chances of victory.

Team news:

Prediction:  Narrow home win by less than seven points.

Newbury v Lydney

11th placed Newbury take on bottom of the table Lydney in a must win match with Esher breathing down heir neck. Newbury will be looking to get back to winning ways and make it three wins in four matches after a recent upsurge in form.

Lydney are in serious trouble at the bottom of the table and will need a major turnaround in the second half of the season if they are not to go straight back down to National Three South and this then is a must win game for them.

Newbury are going for the double in this fixture this season after a comfortable win at Lydney a few weeks back.

Team news:

Prediction: Home win by 20 points.

Nottingham v Harrogate

Match of the day in National Two as fifth placed Nottingham entertain second placed Harrogate. Harrogate are looking to avoid a third successive league defeat but will have to be at their best against a side that has one of the best home records in the division. A win for Nottingham could see them join second placed Harrogate on 18 points as it gets very tight for second spot in the division with four sides separated by just two points. Nottingham did lose last time out at home and will be keen to return to winning ways at Beeston.

When the sides met a few weeks ago the Yorkshire side ran out comfortable 45-22 winners after an excellent first half performance.

Team news:

Prediction: Home win by less than seven points

Rosslyn Park v Bracknell

Park did well at Bracknell a few weeks back and will be hoping that with home advantage they can turn that result around and get a much needed win and end a three match losing run. This is a must win game for Park as they look to keep in touch with the sides immediately above them who both have home advantage this weekend and will be hoping for victory.

Bracknell on the other hand have found their form again and have four wins in their last five matches and climbed up to 6th on the league table.

Team news:

Prediction: Home win by less than seven points.

Sedgley Park v Stourbridge

Park lead the table by six points and this should be a fourth successive win as they entertain Stourbridge who are eighth and have lost three of their last four matches.

They met a few weeks ago at Stourbridge and Park were given a run for their money before coming through for a four point victory 32-28.

Another Park victory would probably leave them needing to lose four of their last 12 matches of the season to miss out on promotion assuming the others all won and as they have to play each other Park are in a very strong position.

Stourbridge have had a bad run of form of late with just two victories in their last six matches.

Team news:

Prediction: Home win by 20 points.

Wharfedale v Rugby Lions

A win in is a must for Wharfedale at home to Rugby Lions as they continue to keep the pressure on second placed Harrogate who have a tough trip to Nottingham.

The home side are looking for a third consecutive win and with recent wins over Doncaster and Harrogate will be confident of victory.

Rugby have showed some improved form of late and have won two out of their last three and will have confidence coming into the match as they have already beaten the Yorkshire side this season at Webb Ellis Road.

Team news:

Prediction: Home win by 14 points.
