Esher return to winning ways and make it three wins in four matches and now find themselves seven points clear of Harrogate now.
Neil Hallett gave the home side the lead with an early penalty goal and got the games opening try with prop Duncan Cormack touching down. Harrogate responded with scrum half Mark Chester getting a try and Lee Cholewa converting to trail by a point. Second row Bill Davison got the second try on 22 minutes to make it 13-7 before Cholewa pulled three points back with a penalty goal. A few minutes later and the home side were down to 14 with prop Jeff Smith red carded. But before the break the home side went 10 points clear with hooker Mark Bennett getting a try and Hallett converted.
The second half was all about Esher who went 27-10 ahead after 53 minutes with Bennett getting a second try. Hallett kicked a penalty in the 74th minute before the visitors were reduced to 14 men with centre Jamie Barker red carded. After this the home side got two more tries as they secured a bonus point as well to run out winners by 32 points as the Yorkshire side went down to a third straight defeat. .

Launceston returned to winning ways in this home fixture against Bracknell who slipped to successive defeats.
The home side were ahead on seven minutes with centre Eddie Nancekivell touching down and Steven Perry converting for 7-0. Andrew Frost pulled three points back for Bracknell but a second home try on 21 minutes from scrum half Shaun Hawkey saw them go 14-3 ahead with Perry again converting.
Bracknell though were over the home line a few minutes later with scrum half Phil Friel touching down and Frost converting. Winger Martin Lacey got the third home try just before the half hour mark as the home side went into the break 19-10 ahead.
22 minutes into the second half and the visitors were over the home line with right wing Chris Massey touching down although four minutes later the home side got try number four as second row David Kimberley touched down to restore their nine point lead. Frost though then kicked a couple of penalty goal to get the visitors back to within three of the home side at 24-21.
The Cornish All Blacks went 10 points clear in the 74th minute with Kimberley getting his second try and Perry adding the extras.
Late in the match Bracknell went in for a try which gave them the losing bonus points as prop Mike Guess touched down and Frost converted.

Doncaster 37 (Tries: Van Vuuren, Tau, Boden, Yates, Reid. Cons: Liley 3. Pens: Liley 2.)
Leaders Doncaster were convincing winners at Manchester and with Newbury slipping up at Waterloo they are now 15 points clear at the top of the table. .
After a close first half which saw the visitors just edge it 15-13 in the second half it was a different story as Doncaster ran out comfortable winners.
Stuart Brown gave the home side a 4th minute lead with a penalty goal before Rob Liley cancelled this out two minutes later for Doncaster. They went ahead a few minutes later when left wing Donovan Van Vuuren went over for the games opening try and an 8-3 lead. Brown pulled three points back but a try from prop Ngalusele Tau converted by Liley saw them open up a 15-6 lead. Manchester got the final score of the half with winger Lucas Onyango going in for his 22nd try of the season and Brown added the extras to send them in two points behind at the break.
In the second half Doncaster dominated the scoring with 22 unanswered points with full back Jonathan Boden getting the scoreboard moving again with a 51st minute try. Liley added a penalty goal before centre Chris Yates secured the four try bonus point in the 67th minute. The final try came from centre Philip Reid and Liley again converted to round of the win.
Nuneaton 7 (Try: Gibson. Con: Cull.)

The Nuneaton revival continues with another win, and in their last six matches have won three and drawn one and are now level on points with Rosslyn Park on 28 points, but with Esher winning well at home to Harrogate they are nine points from safety.
Nuneaton went ahead in the 5th minute in what turned out to be the winning score with hooker Stuart Gibson going over for a try and Gareth Cull converted for 7-0. The visitors were on the scoreboard in the 23rd minute when winger Simon Horsfall touched down for an unconverted try in what was the final score of the match.

Rosslyn Park 18 (Tries: Cable 2, Hayes. Pen: Paul.)
Moseley 33 (Tries: N Bressington, Warren, Aston, Evans. Cons: Thomas 2. Pens: Thomas 3.)
Bad loss for Rosslyn Park as they go down at home to Moseley who move within four of second placed Newbury after this win.
Park are bottom of the Form Guide and after leading at the break 18-10 must have thought they were going to break their dreadful losing run.
They scored three first half tries with second row James Hayes getting the first early on and then prop Richard Cable went in for a double. Anthony Paul failed to convert any of them but did add a penalty goal. Moseley were on the scoreboard in the 11th minute with wing Nathan Bressington getting a try which Ollie Thomas converted and then later added a penalty goal.
In the second half the visitors did all the scoring with Thomas putting over a couple of penalty goal before three tries in the final quarter saw them pull away for a comfortable win and their seventh four try bonus point of the season. .
Stourbridge 21 (Tries: Wilson, Rowley, N Mitchell. Cons: Harvey 3.)
Blackheath 37 (Tries: Louw, Brett, Fitzgerald. Cons: McCashin 2. Pens: McCashin 6.)
Blackheath are 12 points clear of the relegation zone after this impressive away win at Stourbridge.
The match was over after 29 minutes with the visitors 29-0 ahead. Steve McCashin kicked five penalty goals and converted one of their two tries. Flanker Frank Louw got the first try on 10 minutes and prop Des Brett got the second on 20 minutes and McCashin converted them both.
Stourbridge pulled seven points back when left wing Toby Wilson touched down and Ben Harvey converted. McCashin though had the final say with a late penalty which saw them 32-7 ahead.
Stourbridge pulled it back to 32-21 after 74 minutes with two more tries as forwards William Bowley and Neil Mitchell touching down and Harvey adding the extras.

The game of the day went the way of Waterloo who are in fourth place whilst second placed Newbury saw their lead for second place cut to four points. .
Steve Nutt gave the home side a 7th minute lead, with a penalty goal, as Waterloo went in search of a fourth successive league win. Five minutes later and Newbury were ahead with right wing Kenneth Bingham getting the games opening try and David Harvey converted.
Nutt then kicked a couple of penalty goals before crossing the Newbury line in the 22nd minute to make it 14-7.
Before half time Harvey pulled three points back with a penalty goal.
In the second half Harvey dropped a goal on 47 minutes to trail by a single point.
Nutt them kicked a couple more penalty goals to make it 2013 with 13 minutes left. Centre Duncan Bell went over for a try in the 79th minute and they had a chance to snatch a draw with the conversion but it was wide and Waterloo continued their winning run. |
